This was my first attempt at trying to grab an online release and I lucked out! I got a pair in my size 9.5 and already got my tracking number emailed. I can believe how much my nerves were racing just trying to cop some shoes lol...

The release of a new Nike sneaker at a Soho store led to a near-riot Wednesday when hundreds of people anxious to get their hands on the red-hot footwear rushed the closed establishment and were Maced by cops, witnesses said.
The mayhem started at about 7 p.m. as the crowd of sneaker fanatics lined up in front of Supreme on Lafayette Street near Prince Street looking to wait all night for a pair of Supreme/Nike Air Foamposites — which were expected to resell for as much as $1,000 a pair, four times the $250 price tag.
The sneaks were scheduled to go on sale at 11 a.m. Thursday, and cops had set up barricades to control the crowd.
“Some belligerent guy in the front of the line tried to bum-rush the door,” said Bradley James, 20, of Queens. “He started yelling and then somebody else started yelling and before you knew it, the crowd was rushing toward the store.
“There was no way to control that chaos. It was a mob riot. The cops came after a few minutes and started Macing people. I thought to myself, ‘Somebody’s going to get killed over these sneakers!’ ”
Jesus Montero, 18, of Bushwick, Brooklyn, said, “It was a war zone after that because the police broke out the Mace and the batons and we all got trampled, then thrown out.”
Supreme later announced that Thursday’s launch had been canceled.
“The Foamposites are the hottest shoes on the planet right now,” Montero said. “The hype right now is that the shoes are going to go for $1,000 online.
“That’s an astronomical figure for a man my age!”
Cops at the scene said no one had been busted. NYPD officials did not comment on claims that shoppers had been Maced.
