Nor do I.
I might do some dynamic stuff or start my run jogging lightly to warm up my muscles....but I hope the article wasn't insinuating that folks should be doing static stretches before running etc....save the static stretches for the END of your workouts.

QFE. Dynamic stretching before & Static after. It really helps reduce muscle tightness if you're lifting heavy.

I need to stretch. Especially when I swim or run. I don't feel right if I don't stretch.

The only one I would like more info on and see evidence of actual correlation is #4

I am a huge believer in the stretching.  When I ran CC and Track in my "younger" years, I always did a quick stretch, 1-2 mile warmup, then full stretch prior to my run....then stretched afterward as well.  I only play hockey now once a week to work out, kinda sad

This is the first time I've heard of #5, and let me tell you I'm glad to hear it.

I've always heard it's better to work out in the morning, boost your metabolism, wakes you up....blah blah blah.

First I'm not a morning person, so I was already forcing myself to wake up early to workout before work.  It takes awhile to get in the workout mindset when you just wake up.

Then I would work out and feel like crap the rest of the day.  I don't know what workouts those morning people were doing

.  I might of been over training a little bit, but still I felt tired, especially after leg days.

I haven't worked out in the last month (

), I went to 24 hour fitness the other night and worked out from Midnight to 2am...It felt great.  Drank a post workout shake, relaxed a little and knocked out.

In the AM I just do pushups/situps or go for a quick run or bike ride.  Enough to wake me up and get a good sweat in.

I always felt there was something wrong with me since AM workouts didn't feel right for me.
