I don't understand the hype when it comes to the younger heads because they don't really have a reason to want NA. But to older heads like myself that were around when OG's first released it's a big deal. That's how we remember the shoes, it has a lot to do with nostalgia.
You can't wear an OG pair because they'll fall apart. So these retros with NA are as close as we can get.
Thats where the hype comes from, us that are old enough. The ones that want and know about NA talk so highly of it because of back in the day, generates the kids hype also the "exclusiveness" of NA feeds their hype as well. Especially since Jordan's are a status/social symbol to the younger population

Agree! Just got my WC 88's a few days ago and have beat them up already. I'm wearing certain clothes everyday just to match them, the NA on the back is so damn fresh, nostalgic.I refuse to be gentle with shoes I love, so I beat my 2011 pair up. Only reason I'd be all in for this release.
Take me back too, Elem/Mid school.. And everyone wanted to "Be like Mike." You could actually hoop in em back then too..
Unfortunately, they jack the price and hype and you can't even hardly get em. Struck out with wc88s online, had to scoop resell.

The younger heads have no reason to want a shoe the way it was created?
Even then a 9 year old could point out that the NA symbols and Blank Heels look better than the jumpman
U should have exercised a lil more patience bro cuz i felt like those were everywhere. they re-stocked them a few times as well. But what i've learned is that if I strike out on release day, then it was probably meant to be that I was suppose to have those kicks. And i usually hunt them until I do find em.
But sometimes u just have to cop the re-sells
if these even drop, JB better at least put Nike on the outsole. WC 88's looked weird with everything being "Nike Air", but the outsole still said Jordan
Facebook pages have reported 12/7/2013......is this true
I understand ypur point that if its gonna be OG than do it all OG but seriously .... the part that will never see the light of day pretty much ans thats what youre worried about? No one is gonne see "jordan" but you whwn you look at em OFF your feet ...
Just saying ... its not that big of a deal man
I love the 3, BC, TB or WC. What I don't get is the hype that surrounded the WC'88 or anything with Nike Air on the back that isn't a true OG. Nike Air on the back of a shoe that I just bought a year or two earlier didn't really make me want to run out and cop again amidst the hype, especially not the WC88s (based on how quickly I feel the creases and midsole paint chipping showed up). I think I will just keep my BC3s from a couple of years ago in the rotation and be sure to treat them with care. Gotta be more selective with my money these days. Good luck to those who cop, whenever they come out!

88's are better than the 2011's not just because of Nike Air, but because of leather quality

Funny, I wore my CDP the other day and was impressed with the shape they're still in besides the cracks.
The WCs were a true QS that came out of nowhere. 12/7 is possible. I wonder if anyone would trade for the WCs. How much cash would I have to add?
Def agree with you. The shape, and the leather was superb. I don't know if it's just in my head, but the midsole feels and holds up better.
Aside from the midsole issues CDPs are better then the '11 IMO. The leather wasn't as plush, but the fact it was flat black, It looks so much better.
some may agree and say the WC 88 3's were a QS, but we knew about it a few months in advance. There's no buzz or any official blogs giving us any date on the BC 3's. It's already november, and if they were to drop this month we would some how know an official RD by now. Doubt these are dropping in 2013. Just saying
These ARE NOT releasing anytime soon. All these "legit" sneaker blogs are just posting stuff to stay relevant.
