I don't understand the hype when it comes to the younger heads because they don't really have a reason to want NA. But to older heads like myself that were around when OG's first released it's a big deal. That's how we remember the shoes, it has a lot to do with nostalgia.
You can't wear an OG pair because they'll fall apart.So these retros with NA are as close as we can get.

Thats where the hype comes from, us that are old enough. The ones that want and know about NA talk so highly of it because of back in the day, generates the kids hype also the "exclusiveness" of NA feeds their hype as well. Especially since Jordan's are a status/social symbol to the younger population

Agree!  Just got my WC 88's a few days ago and have beat them up already.  I'm wearing certain clothes everyday just to match them, the NA on the back is so damn fresh, nostalgic.

U should have exercised a lil more patience bro cuz i felt like those were everywhere. they re-stocked them a few times as well. But what i've learned is that if I strike out on release day, then it was probably meant to be that I was suppose to have those kicks. And i usually hunt them until I do find em.

But sometimes u just have to cop the re-sells

What I meant was with the younger heads the first time they laid eyes on a pair they had a jumpman on them, all they know is the jumpman.So it's not really a nostalgia thing for them. I know there's plenty of young heads that know and respect the history behind the shoe and want NA on them, or just think it looks better.
Don't get me wrong I've got no problems with young heads wanting NA on their J's. But most of the time it's for a different reason then the people that were around when OG's dropped, That's all I'm saying. Everyone young and old have the right to wear and like whatever they want.

There was a lot of patience involved.. Didn't even buy em until July. Availability was based on the area of location, I'm on the outskirts of a major city and there were no stores in my area that carried em. Online was impossible as I don't use any bots or script. I don't buy anything post retail typically, but they were a must have.

anything is possible with JB! at the store i work at we just got a JB sweatshirt with MJ and spike wearing the BC IIIs with a NA symbol at the bottom of the picture.... usually we get our JB clothing like a month or so before we get the shoes for whatever reason. so it kind of makes me wonder, they very well maybe coming out at the end of the year! im not saying that sweatshirt is definite proof but they usually dont put out retro clothing without a shoe

I love the 3, BC, TB or WC.  What I don't get is the hype that surrounded the WC'88 or anything with Nike Air on the back that isn't a true OG.  Nike Air on the back of a shoe that I just bought a year or two earlier didn't really make me want to run out and cop again amidst the hype, especially not the WC88s (based on how quickly I feel the creases and midsole paint chipping showed up).  I think I will just keep my BC3s from a couple of years ago in the rotation and be sure to treat them with care.  Gotta be more selective with my money these days.  Good luck to those who cop, whenever they come out!

I would think someone would trade straight up. If I was needing WC still I would've gave up an extra of BCs.

Haven't had problems with midsole on 88s either, minor creasing is about it. It would be nice if they took it easy on the gloss.. They do look better with a matte finish.
