Do y'all wear and buy modern kicks, because I never put on retros with retro tech and think comfort. There's just different levels of comfort, if I can wear for a couple of hours or I can wear them all day.

Agreed. But the tech in these isn’t antiquated. A lot of it is still used today. Zoom in particular as is the case with the 12s. I think they mean comfortable for a retro basketball shoe. Not comfort in general as in most comfortable athletic based shoe. Yes, there is levels. And if that’s so, all of these retros pale in comparison to the tech and quality of the build or materials to the actual originals

These are actually quite comfortable imo. Rocked them all day today. I can't say the same for my 3's and 4's. I still remember when my son was born I thought I'd rock my black cement 4's for the occasion, what a mistake that was. Went in jeans too. Next kid I'm wearing slides and sweatpants

If I’m not mistaken, 12s are equipped with full length zoom. Way ahead of its time back then.

The zoom in OG 12's was terrible
and they've done a lot more with zoom than what they used in the 90's

The zoom is no different, the phylon midsole housing the zoom was much firmer on the OG.

I thought the zoom was great in the OG 12. the midsole took time to break in, but zoom was bouncy as F. the articulated zoom in jordan 14 was my favorite. that has not been replicated in any form. I would also include the penny 2, zoom bb, and the lebron 2 for some of the best zoom cushioning I've worn. the lebron 15/16 is probably the bounciest zoom of all time, but it rides too high for me.

i did for about a week. the cushioning was on point, but my feet felt like they being strangled. KD's are too narrow for me.
