Filipino Culture Thread

A lot of my friends around my way are Ilocano. (Bay Area). And I can say 97/100 can speak it.

Most of my relatives are out in Cali and some in Hawaii haha.

My brother and I were the only ones born and raised in NY.

here's a couple spots I ate at in Nassau County..

Guiradelco @ Westbury (9AM for bkfst?)
Manila Hut @ Hempstead

And this spot I want to try, Kabayan Grill @ East Meadow-they're open early for bkfst (7AM)...

Good looks on the LI spots but can’t beat the Queens spots.

Phillypino transplant since 99, moved to LI this past October with my wife and kids.

Reason i said that is because damn near all my Filipino homies have some sort of relatives in HI.

I know hnl is pretty much the Philippines but with social security numbers.

id throw in a thai chilli pepper or two for that extra spice. no patis for me though.

How many of yall got cousins in hawaii? Im expecting 95% of yall to raise hands.

I am impressed by the filipinos born there. The young thundercats know how to speak ilocano. Usually, you forget all that if ur born outside the phils.

When i am in the nice shopping area part of HNL, I'm like "this looks like greenbelt 3 to me" hahahhhhhhahah

Greenbelt is damn nice. Stayed at a hotel near there years back. Saw so many tall, fine looking women (might’ve been Chinese) on the arms of old, white guys.

Last year, I went surf capitals in the phils i La Union and Siargao. Siargao is freaking amazing. If you a dark skin pinoy, the visting snow bunnies will love you. The locals were flourishing with the ladies.
