Federal Job Thread - Air Marshal's Closed - Good Luck!

I thought of this thread while watching this past sundays episode of Mad Men. The firm applied for a govt clearance and Don Draper was sweating bullets ducking random people

The opening for BP is strictly Mexican border California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
If you want to apply for testing you need to do so before Sept 30th.

They need people that speak Spanish, or can learn Spanish.

That was the second announcement this year, they're probably not going to open more FAMS positions for a while, but there is still an ICE HSI position coming up. I'll see if I can get some info from other branch agencies, since I work for homeland security I can get all the entry level hiring info right off the bat, but I now there are other branch agencies about to hire like crazy.

I know Secret Service Uniformed, and None Uniformed are hiring but they're extremely hard to get into, the investigation for USSS is like going into CIA, or NSA.

I don't know much about the Federal Law Enforcement side of things, but I do know about the the alphabet intel agencies, and if you aren't a college grad with a 3.0 or better fuggedaboutit. For me it was 18 months of waiting and investigations before I got put on.

But then again if your in the FLEO side of the CIA, or NSA you don't need a degree. Look at CIA's SAD, the majority of those dudes are straight ex military skull crushers. But then it all depends on what side of these agencies you want to be on, I prefer the butt kicking side, I don't like writing much paper work.

Hmm, the PRIMARY side of the CIA is actually HUMINT. To say HUMINT is writing a bunch of paperwork is absolutely an untrue assumption. What people think they know about the Agency is false as a matter of fact. And for the record the FLEO side of the CIA is basically the guards for the installations, and to be specific SAD is the the name of the division which includes SOG which are the ex-Special Operations guys...SAD also includes accountants and lawyers and other civil affairs capabilities, but I'm not going to say much more about this because I can't.

You see how naive I am, I'll just stick to Homeland Security when it comes to this stuff. 1801's and 1811's simple and dumbed down
