Fast and Furious Thread: Hobbs and Shaw Spin Off 2019 - Tyrese career ending injury

So after watching this, we can all agree they are basically superheroes right ?

DOMINIC TORETTO:ABILITIES
-Superhuman strength and stamina
-Immortality
-High resistance to injury
-Advanced hand to hand combat
-mass endurance
-Professional Driver
-Professional weapons specialist

Basically

Toretto's been superhuman status to me ever since he caught Letty falling from a tank after jumping off a car onto another car in the Fast 6

I'd love to know both of Deckard Shaw and the Rocks's stats
 At this point The Rock in these movies = Bane

If Paul Walker had been alive for the whole movie, this would've been been the best movie of the series.

It was obvious where the gaps are where he was dead so that was distracting

That ending was the best ending of the series for me. I want them to stop making fast furious movies asap. Let it end now. But that's unlikely.

he filmed 85% of his scenes, what parts are you talking about?

Vin was looking pretty out of shape in this i will say lol. And the scnes where they didnt use Paul were pretty obvious as they put emphasis on not showing his face and only showing it at an angle. The scene where the bomb went off at the house was obviously added to fit in how they would write paul off.

I think they could work creating a younger crew and the old crew act as mentors with cameos every so often or something.

Side note am I the only one that thinks every movie the rock has been in has been terrible minus the FF series? Idk if he isnt good at picking his roles or what, the dude is a great actor/star his other films just arent good.

I thought he did well in that movie where he had to help his kid get out of prison. I think it was called Snitch or something like that.

soooo......

was the scene of Brian running up the bus and Letty catching him on a drift the most outreagous Fast shenanigan yet?

up until now, it was the part in FAST6 where Torreto caught Letty as she flew through the air and landed on top of a car like nothing ever happened

What man? That might have been one of the more realistic ones in this movie.

They jumped a car through 2 buildings man. Two!!!

The ambulance scene with the drone?

Stathan and Vin Diesel reinforced chasis?

Vin diesel holding a car in the air for 10 minutes?

Caught this Friday night and thought it was pretty dope. The ending was definitely a nice touch and a great way to end the movie.

jumping a car off a crumbling lot ramp, caused by Vins sheer foot force no less, gliding in the air to catch a copter, all the while hanging grenades on it.

Also repeatedly and willingly having a head to head collision (twice) at maybe 30-50mph only to walk out and have a street fight.

I love it.

I forgot all about the car going through the buildings ...

the rest of that **** didn't blow my mind like son climbing up the front of a bus as its sliding off a cliff and then setting the combine record for long jump and catching the back of a drifting car and not being slung a mile up the road...

You make valid points but that **** just blew my mind for some reason

It really is funny seeing how different the stunts are from the first 1 until now.

The first 2 were pretty tame, they took the action to a whole nother level and put it on steroids starting in Fast Five. It worked out since they've been making a killing at the box office since

I've heard the same, but I don't believe it. I think that number is exaggerated.

From what I watched, the number has to be closer to 50 percent.

^One on one fight scene in the dark during the climax

Whenever Mia and Toretto talk about Brian's feelings but we're not hearing it out of Brian's mouth

Whenever Brian should have a scene but he doesn't

There's a lot of gaps man. We see his face a lot but he doesn't have a felt presence in the movie. It was very distracting man.

I didn't think they were noticeable during the first watch, but on second viewing, I noticed;

1) House explosion where he hits his head on the car window.

2) Mia/Brian scene in DR

3) When they overlook LA at the end

4) Second fight with Ong Bak

5) Beach/Drive off scene

Also, were there any scenes between Brian and Shaw, other than during the penthouse/hypercar scene?

I truly don't understand how people get all caught up in this or that "unreal" stunt.

If the title of the movie was Mission Impossible, every stunt would just be accepted.

Oh hey, 2 guys, TWO guys, will just walk on in thru the CIA, get into an encrypted computer system, and walk out like nothing. That's totally believable.

It's a movie. The entire point of entertaining you is having these people do wild and crazy stunts for our entertainment.

Maybe if they wore bright colored spandex and flew thru the air and fought aliens people wouldn't look so deep into it  :smh:

youre not the only one

A physicist explains 'Furious 7'

the amazing part is how much of the other stuff is theoretically possible

Basically that's all there was I noticed as well.

I wonder if the Blu Ray might have some footage they may have had, but needed to scrap because the story was re-written. If there are, I hope those scenes at least make the Blu so we can see them.

they still will. Man of steel is absolutely crucified on this board.

Tell me about it. Bunch of dummies pissed off cuz the flying dude battling aliens then disguises himself with a pair of glasses, all of a sudden the film is unbelievable.

Yea, I think they originally had more scenes where Brian talked more but they cut a lot of them to help the movie make sense.

^Someone wrote an article about how Race Wars was the climax of the first movie and in 7, it's just a part of the prologue

When you put it like that, it shows how much the movie has evolved

From illegal street racing to trying to hack a super secret government technology :wow:

If the series could go to movie 10, you'll have Toretto fighting aliens
