so many different versions of the same shoe, it's bananas. i was going through the older pages of the fam thread and came across these picsthat intothedark posted....1995 95's (single and double stitch)Originally Posted by briannnnn
OGs were different. Logo looked just like that except it was "airmax" instead of "aimax"Originally Posted by denverairforce
briannnnn I don't mean to question you cuz you have 100x more knowledge on 95's than me, but I did just watch this pair from 97 sell on ebay and you're partially right - the color separation was on the "i", but the "r" and "m" were still mashed together. maybe the original 95s are different?Originally Posted by briannnnn
OG 95s actually have "airmax"Originally Posted by TheFoamCollector
Yep, the color borders break up the m to make it look like an r. Always been like that you can just notice it more now with these generic colorways coming outOriginally Posted by morningstar7777
They've said "aimax" since 1995.
For whatever reason, Nike decided to combine the r and the m, making it "aimax"
I'm trying to search for pics in the meantime. The four OG 95s had "airmax" on the tongue with a line going through the "i" but since around 1998 or 99, the "airmax" logo has become standard.
So I guess around 1997 was when the tongue logo began to look like that.
The 2002 Neons have this same logo on the tongue, btw
