Why even have a clock if it can be stopped? A lot of these rules seem to be made up...

The 3 hour window started once race started and was ticking, but race hasn't started so Perez is allowed to start. Race either started or it didn't, cant have a mishmash of rules.

Yea, I agree. Rules are all over the place. Guess I'll watched Utd vs Wolves while I wait to see if the race even starts. Was hoping to have it wrapped up prior to kickoff but didn't happen.

because building the motorhomes for Zandvoort is more important than racing...
Zandvoort is 3 hours away from Spa...

The silver lining is that this podium should help Williams continue to grow, regardless of who their driver line up is next year. A competitive Williams team is good for the sport.

Belgium is an unofficial home race for Max and the Super Max crowd will always boo Lewis no matter what.

Just curious. I’m fairly new to the sport. Why does Lewis get the stick that he does at most circuits?? I’ve never seen him in any troubles outside of F1. He’s fighting for equality in the sport and getting newer viewers, so why does he get boo’d week in and week out? Just curious George

This should be looked at with a slightly broader view. There was a time when Seb was booed a lot, too. But for Lewis, it's a combination of things... he's won a lot (as did Seb when he was booed). In Spa, Max's 2nd home race, his fans are pretty vocal... while some fans (not specifically Max's) are just simply irrational and unreasonable, so they'll boo everything he does without reason. And I'm also sure there are those who don't like him for fighting for equality. In their view, they think it's 'political', of course... as those ppl usually think that way.

Recent boos has been because of the battle with Max and especially after the incident in Silverstone.

Apart from that, you can expect boos in Monza and I'm assuming Zandvoort will be the same too.

It's normal for most drivers to be the villain at one point

Wild how they awarded half points and even did a podium ceremony after following a safety car for three laps. It all felt so forced. Everyone seemed clueless as to how the rules applied yesterday.
