Ever Get Fired From A Job You Were Gonna Quit? vol. Oh Well...

this happened to me earlier today.

I was working at UPS part time, but I just recently got a job that I'm supposed to start Monday at Canon. This whole week I been pretty much slackin anddoing what I want, coming in late, etc.

Either today or Monday I was going to "officially" quit, I hadn't decided yet.

Well when I come in today, after a few minutes I get escorted back to the boss' office with some other supervisors and I get let go! I wasn't reallyshocked, nor do I care, but I didn't know whether to be

i was planning on leaving this one job pretty soon, and i was fired for fighting with a manager i absolutely hated. like a week later i got the best job iveever had and im still there. Oh well

yerp. i would leave early, come late, steal, awol, etc...

(this is all when i was young. and it was at an airport so it is very easy to get lost imo)

I went into my job to quit the other day and my name wasn't on the schedule anymore.

ni didn't care. I hadn't been there in like two months soI'm sure I had a few no call no shows.

normally I subscribe to this line of reasoning, but at UPS if you haven't worked there for a full calendar year, you are not eligible for rehireat all so I was like "#*@! it"

I was planning to quit for WEEKS, but kept deciding to ride it out and kept faking... came in one day and was fired for no reason.

exactly. you can never have too many references from your old bosses etc...always try to leave on a good note.

3 years ago I worked at Krogers groceries as a courtesy clerk and i hated every single minute i was up in that beach.

Cashiers and managers would sit there and have corny conversations while we busted our backs packing groceries, get baskets from the parking lot, cleaning upspills, restock groceries and just about everything you could possibly think of that was brutal. All that for $98 dollar paychecks every Friday.

One day my boy told me his job was doing immediate hirings and that's all i needed to hear

. Went out there and put in an application on the day i was supposed to be atwork

, interviewed same day, drug test same day and they pretty muchtold me to start the following week

. Went back to my current job andthey pretty much made me sign release papers for excessive tardiness and all sorts of other misconducts

.

New management and most of the cashiers from back then work there and every time i go in there to go to my bank which is inside the store i just walk by themlike we never met

. Always making deposits never withdrawals

......went from making measly $100 checks every week to $2000 ever other week.
