Eminem is definitely nice but the "best rapper alive" phrase is very subjective. People react to different people for many different reasons. Sothere will never be a clear cut best rapper alive. But for me he's in my top 5.

A lot of things go into talent as far as MCing goes and part of that is being able to create great/classic material and apply your skills well, things dudes tend to ignore or forget when analyzing Em. He's got a respectable catalogue- Infinite and MMLP are very nice, SSLP and TES are straight, I didn't even listen to Encore. I honestly feel that these are 20 better overall rappers, in no particular order:
1. Rakim
2. Nas
3. 2Pac
4. BIG
5. The D.O.C.
6. Slick Rick
7. Jay-Z
8. Lord Finesse
9. G Rap
10. Kane
11. Cormega
12. Ice Cube
13. KRS One
14. Chuck D
15. Brother Ali
16. Big Pun
17. Scarface
18. Ghostface
19. Prodigy
20. PMD
I could go on...
exactly like i said, ill laugh hard at 5-10 rappers on your list

No One Can Do It Better + The D.O.C.'s influence on The Chronic and Doggystyle > Em's career
Lord Finesse fathered the "punch-line" style and is probably the best to ever do it. He has two LP's and one EP that are in the 4.5-5 range. He has countless, classic production credits. Top 5 MC/producer all-time.
As far as G Rap, I'm not even going to argue the point because it's inexcusable if you don't already know.
Cormega has 3 solo albums in the 4.5-5 range.
Chuck D- see G Rap above
If you haven't listened to Brother Ali's work, don't comment. If you have, you wouldn't be laughing at the thought that he's better than Em.
Prodigy from 1995-2001 > Eminem during any period
PMD was the better-rapping half of 3 straight classics out the gate with EPMD.
Actually he has 3.

Did you really just say Stan takes away from an album?
I'm not an Em fan...but what the %@%$?
Actually he has 3.

If pure skill was the only criteria, than Canibus & Super Natural would be in everyone's top 3.
He is a career underachiever IMO.
And how the eff is G Rap not better than Em???

I'm far from dazed my man and you don't have to agree with anything. The point I was trying to make is that dudes acting like Eminem is Top 20 no questions asked need to take a step back because it is very realistic that cats could name 20 MCs they feel are better than Em, as I did. I'm not saying it's inconceivable for others to think dude is Top 20 because it's largely opinion, but greatest ever?!

nopeI know he has the flow game locked down, but does Em have any hot lines?
