I wouldn't say that they did, was just saying someone can argue either way I meant. Just like I don't say it was the colts D that was reason they won their SB.Originally Posted by LDJ

he has 2 rings AND 2 super bowl mvps. The super bowl mvps DO MATTER. I would say the weight of the super bowl
You can easily argue it was Giants d that won both SB as well.Originally Posted by LDJ
the super bowl impacted his brother this way.... dude has 7 str8 failing short seasons, a decent/good playoff run and wins a superbowl in which one could argue that it was the colts d, that was subpar at best playing the best ball EVER... and he went from the guy who could never win and the next marino, to one of the greatest players in nfl history.
true but in particularly this year eli stepped up his individual play moreso then the giants d stepped up.... eli had one of his best seasons and playoffs and the giants d was ranked 27th. not to take anything away from the giants d, but i think in particular the playoffs and sb eli made this HIS team and it was how well he played that willed them to win. first sb you can kinda say it was the d more then it was eli playing, but this year not so much.

One of the biggest storylines of the Super Bowl week is that New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has a chance to all but secure a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The general consensus is if a quarterback wins a second Super Bowl, he is all but guaranteed to make it to Canton. For the most part, that is true. Then there is former Raiders’ quarterback Jim Plunkett.
Of the five quarterbacks who won the Super Bowl twice who are eligible for the Hall of Fame, four are in. Plunkett is not. The other quarterback who has won two Super Bowl rings is current Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The three Hall of Fame eligible quarterbacks who have won more than two Super Bowl rings have been inducted.
“False premise,
Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer, Jeff Hostetler, Eli Manning.
Minimal difference.
eli ******* sucks and it's a travesty my team twice wilted under eli's defense and gave that putz two rings. i will eternally apologize the the NFL for that and he will forever be a piss stain on the list of HOF QBs because of those two rings. apologies to the rest of you for letting this occur.

Nah
No one feels sorry for the Patriots losing in the super bowl
Pretty sure everyone was happy about it and Eli was the only one who did it
Wooow, this guy really had 8 seasons of 15+ ints?
"Elite"
How many HOF qbs lead the league in ints more than twice?

Dude's went straight for my head though when I mentioned how OBJ saved the latter part of his career as a Giant.
Especially Giant stans

Brad Johnson will be in the Hall of Fame.
How many QBs would lead the league in ints but get benched by their team? How many was Luck on pace for before he missed rest of the season.
number of pro bowl Oline in eli's entire career? 0
oh and i guess reg season QB rating is more important than playoff QB rating....how did that work out for Romo
Romo's playoff stats
