Eddie Huangs "fresh off the boat" ...new abc sitcom

I'm gonna read his book ASAP.
You're gonna love the book, it has all kinds of references to the blunts, broads, basketball, and of course, the dipset references.

Are you serious? :eek

I swear I was just basing that statement off of the Asian kids I kicked it with in High School :lol

Now I'm DEF gonna read it A effin SAP :hat

It's really good. I went into it expecting it to be mostly about food, but it's not. Great read.

as an Asian Taiwanese American, WE MADE IT WE MADE IT

I love how in some video I saw that he said his favorite Cam album is Crime Pays. No one says that and I sort of like him more because of it.

Ya'll should def read the book, I bought it the day it came out and it is seriously one of the funniest memoirs I've ever read and it really connected with me since I'm Asian too and it perfectly encapsulates how it feels to grow up in America as an Asian-American.

The *****stronaut has definitely landed.

I gotta catch up on His vice series :smokin

"Chef....entrepreneur...author...bang bros connesseur " :rollin

Love the Vice series.

Don't like the sitcom based on the trailer. Be surprised if it goes past the first season.

They were originally going to call this show "Far East Orlando" which definitely would've been more racist than FOB. Either way, I hope they tie everything into how Eddie Huang got into cooking. Plus if they do a lot of episodes off of stories from his book, there should be one where he tries to get his dad to buy him some J's.

Also, I spotted Eddie Huang in the trailer:

Eddie's my dude and he's been on the up come pretty quickly but this could def hurt his career if it doesn't pan out. Shoulda pitched it to Comedy Central, that way he has more freedom because there is almost no way he could put to work the content that was in his book on a network like ABC

Y'all should really read his book..

"Around 2004-2005, streetwear boutiques were popping up everywhere. Sh__t was ill 'cause every store repped different brands. I remember when Lemar and Dauley came out with graphics that looked like the 1991 Skybox NBA set with sweathers that had Biggie on 'em saying "spread love it's the brooklyn way." There was Reason which put out my favorite shirt of all time, they flipped the Ramones tee to say Diplomats. Dip set had the mixtape sh__t on smash. Every month there was some new Dipset that you had to cop. Sickamore had this cat Tru-Life that dropped "New York New York" and G-Unit was going hard with The Game on Black Wall Street tapes. It was probably the best time since the mid-nineties to be in New York as a hip hop streetwear-head" (Huang 215).

If you were into hip hop / street wear around 04 - 05, this is dead on. I feel like a good majority of NT can relate to him. Hell, he might've been an NTer also.

the shop I worked at carried this tee and I had lames asking if this was Gnarls Barkley (not even Cee-lo)
