Ebola

i can't remember but the story of how this pandemic did come out...it started from one woman or female child iirc that prepared/ate bush meat. from them relatives handled her, so on and so forth. you'd have to google it. i saw it on cnn awhile back.

anyway they are testing someone in hawaii with supposed symptoms.
Yea they got it from fruit bat meat. Fruit bats carry the disease but do not show symptoms. They can pass it on to humans.

You said they will contain the Ebola. As if you can stop it, it has a 50% mortality rate, if you get it, its a coin toss that you will die from it...now what where you saying genius?? ?

Yes contain it so it doesnt spread to anyone else. Where did I mention mortality rate?

Comprehension.

They contained it pretty well at Emory when the first 2 patients were flown in.

Contain the disease/patients, thats the same thing. If you contain the disease, that means you are containing it in that one person so it does not spread. If I said contain the patient, its the same thing. Do you not know what contain means or something? Cmon fam.

Nah playa lol it aint the same thing.... but I get what you saying. We splitting hairs and saying basically the same thing.

The two patients at Emory got treated with the medicine/cure that they are out of supply of now. (according to them) so if an outbreak happens here in the USA its bad news for us all.

They are now monitoring 80 people in Dallas smh

Its the same thing, youre trying to use the word contain in relation to the health of the patient. "Contain" has nothing to do with their actual health, has to do with the transmission of the disease.

The good news is those 80 people are not yet contagious, so its not like those 80 people are giving it to 80 more people. Should be another week or so til any of them show symptoms, if at all.

I think they are monitoring like 12 people but they believe he came into contact with 80 people.

True....and lets hope not!

So I'm out here eating breakfast (I don't live too far from Dallas) and I hear some dude tell his friends that Ebola is not airborne like AIDS . :lol :|

Jesus christ, the stupidity of people kills me. lol he must be thinking airborne as in the nut flys through the air and he catches it on his open sored mouth.

They are making it seem as if you have to stick your hand in a bucket of poop, blood, pee, and semen in order to contract this disease.
This dude contracted it by holding the body of a women who had it.
:{

Now they are saying this dude might have came in contact with 80 people...
imagine how many people they might have came in contact with. ..

It is my understanding that one of the reasons so many people in West Africa are becoming infected is because of how they handle their dead.

Exactly. When you throw the dead bodies of the infected into your own water supply then that might cause some problems.

Wtf. The dudes significant other said the sheets he sweated on are still on the bed and his towels and stuff are still in the apartment. He had lots of trips to the bathroom. Didn't vomit in the apartment tho.

She is quarantined with three other ppl in the apartment.

She's taking everyone's temperatures every hour. She doesn't know what to do and is waiting on instructions from the cdc. Jeez... It's not exactly clear if they slept in the same bed but they have a child together...

The woman, her son and two nephews are quarantined in the apartment. The woman's daughter called the ambulance because she went to the apartment and saw the dude real sick. It's not clear if she's quarantined as well. The woman went to work during the two says he was showing symptoms.

Sanjay said Ebola can live on the surfaces of things for days but the virus behaves differently. He said its possible to contract it from touching something with bodily fluids from someone showing symptoms. Which touches on what I was saying earlier when some ppl were talking about me being an alarmist or panicking

Like i said. It's about being informed. Inform yourself so that you understand things better instead of insulting ppl that ask questions so that they can inform themselves.

Lastly, symptoms can be as mild as a headache or stomach ache. So yeah that's what I was saying earlier. One could be contagious and their only symptoms are a headache and fever. Let's not sugar coat this stuff. We need to know for real how you can and can't get this. No sugar coating from the cdc or journalists.

Also it's not clear if he got it from handling a pregnant woman with Ebola. He never mentioned it.

Lmao they just said they wouldn't name this woman and Anderson just called her Louise. Damn.

Sanjay said they don't know how likely it is that someone can get Ebola from touching a surface with fluids from a person sick with Ebola. But it's possible. They don't have enough info about it.

Sanjay said usually they would do a scorched earth policy and burn the area where the former patient was. But I dunno. Doesn't seem like they do that in those villages but he knows more than I so...

Symptoms include headache, spike in temperature, stomachache, vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding from various parts of your body, etc.

The woman was in bed with the man at the time when he was sick and sweating. Smh. She says she doesn't think she came into contact with any bodily fluids tho. By sick I mean going to the bathroom with diarrhea, shivering, sweating, etc.

But she was in the bed with him sweating. Yikes. And still has infected items in the apartment.

The cdc is going to take heat for this.
