Nothin wrong with buying used ones.  I'd rather pay $50-$100 less for them to be slightly used than brand new.  Also, it can be better for certain shoes if you plan on wearing them.  Perfect example, IV's.  Most likely if you find a DS pair from 99 they are going to crack on wear (not all).

Well, I miss my pair (actual serial #'d release version) of this c/w. Although they werent that durable in the first place, and those (being a sample and all) have a weird look to them, the layout is different for sure, but for $170, not really a deal at all IMO.
