- Cuphead DLC

Also there’s another exclusive game from the makers of DayZ and Arma that’s being unveiled tomorrow

Wouldn't that just kind of cannibalize the energy FighterZ still has around it, especially considering that it's about to come to Switch and give itself another boost?

I also don't think Xenoverse 3 or whatever the next actual DB game is has to compete with FighterZ; different lanes.

Nah I don't think it would. They could co exist just like how Blaz Blue and Guilty Gear coexist. Sure, both of those games have completely different characters, but think about how Tekken and Tekken Tag Tournament used to coexist as well.

Give the JUMP mash up a few unique features, but fewer Dragonball characters (you'll be making up those empty slots with the other manga characters that will be coming in), to give players that itch to still pick up FighterZ. Give FighterZ a ton of DLC content, and make sure its a headliner at EVO and other tournaments to keep it relevant.

Fighting games are much different than shooters. Fighting game enthusiasts will play games no matter what new titles are out, even if they're damn near the same game

And I hate those Xenoverse/Tenkaichi games. I'm a traditional fighting game fan. I like super jumps, combo's, and arcade sticks.

That battletoads presentation could literally be put together using a 2001 colored Mac today in 10 mins

It was a really weak way to announce that game.

Tekken and Tekken Tag coexisted because they were typically a couple of years apart and Tag straight up had a feature the other series doesn't that's right in the name

I don't think there's a close parallel to what FighterZ and an ARC Jump fighter would be to one another especially if the latter was announced just a year after, but I'll admit that I'm not too hip to how the fighting game faithfuls get down so maybe you're right.

I used to love those DBZ arena fighters but I tried to pickup Xenoverse 2 a few weeks back after not gaming for like 7 years and the combat system felt convoluted as hell

I think Xenoverse games are cool for solo play. Online play is trash.

The story and "sandbox hubworld" is pretty great for a Dragon Ball game, but "3D Sandbox fighting animations" are just messy as hell when not executed correctly.

If you notice with Tekken over the years, they originally started out similar to Virtua Fighter that they emphasized "3D Sandbox" gameplay alongside traditional fighting mechanics of button combos and such. Then as gaming evolved, Tekken started to morph their games to become more like a true traditional fighting game WHILE keeping some of the 3D animations for "special moves" INSTEAD of forcing more "3D Sandbox" into their fighting animations like their earlier games.

Xenoverse is too ******* clunky when the "3D movement" is incorporated into the fighting mechanics, whereas FighterZ finally found that balance with 2.5D fighting animations while showcasing the "3D graphical animation" for the individual specials/finishers

Yeah you're right. I played Xenoverse strictly for the story and RPG aspect of the game. The fighting in those games have been trash after the Budokai series.
