10 Piece Nuggets- Your explanation doesn't make sense, since fashion is built on trends, hence why upcoming fashion lines (Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter) are always posted in this thread.  You're knocking flannels and fitted jeans because it is popular within a demographic.  It doesn't change the fact that it's a solid outfit.  You just happen to like a different trend.  You wouldn't knock RFX's outfit, yet you will be lying to yourself if you want to make yourself believe that epaulets were popping in the fashion world 2 years ago.

Fashion is built on trends.

Whoa there buddy. I wear flannels damn near everyday, dont put words in my mouth saying I knock on flannels. I simply said its the norm for today.

Its a solid outfit, in fact in my post referring to him, I complimented him. So relax there e-bully.

Lets be dead serious, his outfit compared to MOST of whats been posted the past pages "doesnt fit", regardless of it being a good fit or not.

Anyways, lets keep things moving.

Question? I bout a chambray shirt from J Crew it was on sale but they didn't have my size so I just bought an XL
it's too big to wear without layering it under something. how much would it cost to get it altered, or is it even possible?

Info on the blazer?

Funny you posted this-- I was actually at the Mayer Hawthorne x Passion Pit show last night in SF. Not really feeling the jacket-- but it looks to be LRG possibly. You can make out the logo on the right.

Might as well return/exchange it.

my mother told me the same thing, but I'd hate to return it cause I know I wont find another one for the price.
if getting it altered costs more than the shirt then I'll just keep it and layer it once it gets cold again

still mulling over my decision on those con's.
most likely going to get the blacks now. will get the blues if that code still works next friday

props again to whoever posted the code.

It will cost a lot to alter the entire shirt. Tapering the sleeves, shortening the sleeves, tapering the body of the the shirt, hemming the length of the shirt -- it will most likely cost you $50+. And even then, it still might fit funny because there will be too much room in the collar/neck area. I'd return it. How much did you get the shirt for? You could always go with a cheaper alternative and go to Gap or something similar that will still look good and fit you better. You can find a chambray shirt just about anywhere right now.

Brad Pitt is a lucky SOB. I am really liking these Clae Ellingtons in Sage Canvas. Using rational thinking though I really don't need to drop a $100 on ANOTHER pair of shoes.

Have you tried looking at the J. Crew outlets?  I always see a few when I go.  I bought a gray chambray shirt there last summer.  Only difference from the retail stores is it's not selvedge.

Is Banana Republic doing that 40% off again? I was able to combine it with a 25% off and get a $250 blazer for less than $130 w/tax and shipping. Might pick up the matching pants if they've got that again.

Great steal, how do they fit? can you post some pictures?
I'll try to get a pic up tomorrow if I have time.  I don't do the WDYWT thing, so it'll just be the shoes if that's good enough.

They fit similar to Jack Purcells for me.  I wear a 10 in Chucks, 10.5 in Purcells, 11-11.5 in most Nikes, 11 in most "dress" shoes.  I got the Sea Stars in a 10.5 and it's perfect.

I'm really happy with them, especially for that price.

Good looking out, I hate to buy shoes online without having any clue on how they fit.

the shirt costs 19.99, and i don't think there are any J Crew Outlets around here anywhere.
I'll keep it. I might gain some weight or something lol

Tried to inquire with J. Crew and see if they can do a product search, they should be able to.  If they can't find it in your size, then make a decision.

There was a black and white gingham on sale at Club Monaco a year ago and they didn't have my size in the local store.  I asked about it, they checked around and found it.  In Hawaii.  I'm in NY.  They shipped it to me for free.  I had been searching for a black/white one for a while and had only seen one with a button-down collar (I avoid those, personally) and didn't fit as well as I know Club Monaco fits me.  All worked out in the end.

Last night to see Passion Pit!

Casual Friday @ work. Picked up a Levi's Trucker Jacket in a size small yesterday, thinking about possibly exchanging it for a medium. Pretty tight around the waist when buttoned-- afraid it will shrink when washed. Opinions?

Also picked up this Levi's trucker jacket in a lighter wash, on sale for $25 @ Macy's.

Nice casual second outfit....

However the first one makes you look like Inspector Gadget/AntonLavey.  It's not your fault.

i saw this pic on superfuture. isnt this Joshua & Travis from streetetiquette on the left and right ends?
if it is them, it just shows how a persons style can change and mature over time.

like Nii has said before, rotation & versatility, it's advantagous to surprise people by rocking a pair of patent leather Jordans.

Good outfits by DJ Enuff.
Go a size up on the Levis Jacket.
