For guys looking for nice affordable entry level shoes. I found a couple reviews on a brand called John Doe. , all shoes are priced at 135 and only got up to 12.5 , but they're Goodyear welted and that's pretty at that pricepoint

That sounds about right, I believe mine from 2009 cost about ~$700-$750 iirc, 4 years later and a $100 price increase isn't bad.
