Reminds me of my moms bichon and my pup who died. Her bichon is super friendly and super social with everyone. When I was walking with them both earlier this winter my little guy would just bark at people but no violently just to let them know he is there. Well he barked at this 5-6 year old as his mom walked him from school. The child was making barking noises back to him. His mom said to stop it and be careful.
Well my moms bichon for the first time ever showed his teeth at someone and made a sort of aggressive move towards the child for picking on his little brother, he stopped before even getting close but it was just a show of what he would do. It was sweet to see how much he cared about his little brother.
He still misses my little guy as they’d play so much together when they spent time together. And I do too
. Hopefully one of the rescue orgs I have been in contact with get another schnauzer soon. The dog I adopted has really made little progress with getting use to me but she loves my mom. So it’s definitely a male vs female thing.

A couple years ago my dog collided with another dog at the park and his knee would slip in and out of place but he didn’t need surgery and that was years ago now. I recently got a bike and he’s been running besides me and lately it seemed like something was bothering him. He wouldn’t stand up to look out the car window and other things he’d normally do. to me it looked like it was his lower back not his knee again
$1100 at the vet for x-rays just to tell me nothing serious just that my dog needs a backiatomy
Most likely a muscle issue. They gave him some meds and said to chill for a few weeks. I wish I could know for sure though because something is def bothering him

I need prayers for the lil homie Rufio. He may have developed disc disease or injured his vertebrae somehow. Taking him to a neurologist right now. Prob gonna be 10 grand
