for real. never had any encounters with them.
Nah, my mom went in for a tooth infection, didn't pay the bill and now they are suing her for $24,000 for a $2,000 bill.Originally Posted by All Ready
From what I've seen, if you make it out the hospital without paying your bill don't even bother paying it

If they got medicare it'll be covered. Certain hospitals like teaching or community hospitals have to eat costs from people who can't pay,but private hospitals who usually treat people with private insurances go after outstanding bills.Originally Posted by Forgot About Jae

> Damn. So like how do all the broke dudes who get shot get taken care of ? They treat em, they get out the hospital..then ?????? They aint gon pay, so do they all get sued ?
True. When I worked for a medical facility, one of the directors told me that ambulances weren't free and depending on the company that picksyou up you can get charged a minimum of $200. He said if your injury is not life threatening and you are within walking distance of a hospital then you shouldhop in a taxi or walk to the ER.Originally Posted by Hodog16

If he had to be air-lifted, the bill should be the last thing to worry about.
You'd be surprised how many people mis-use ambulances. If they were free, people would be using them like a taxis.
I say that all the time.Originally Posted by yep617

Ofourse but its just shocking to see that price tag on a bill even though it was covered by the insurance.
I always tell all my peoples if anything happens never call an ambulance for me, drive me there and notify my folks.
