DJ Premier & Royce Da 5'9" "PRhyme 2"(March 16)2nd single - Rock It

I'm nervous about listening to this, I really loved the first one. Will give it a go in the car tomorrow

Can’t decide whether I like this one over the first. Good album though. Will give another listen, but the only tracks I don’t care for are the one with Dave East and Rock It

I'll go ahead and do it anyways, but are the bonus tracks worth a listen on the first Prhyme?

Prhyme or Gang Starr?

Gonna have to give Moment of Truth another listen, but just going off You Know My Steez, it's going to be a tough choice lol.

I respect your opinion but the thought of this is disrespectful. I dont think Royce would put Prhyme over Gang Starr, them dudes helped mold the sound of the birthplace of hip-hop and the entire East Coast itself

I was more so saying that song alone is on par with some of the best stuff between both Prhyme albums.

Gave the album a full listen, and I'm heartbroken to say I was pretty disappointed in what I heard. I'll give it a few more listens to see if anything changes, but there are alot of "meh" songs on here. I have Sunflower Seeds and Made Men on repeat though

Era and Rock It absolutely suck imo

Fire

Book of Ryan is fire.

I'm digging this why more than both Premo albums, this is extremely personal and it's a great look

EDIT: oh god Logic with another “I’m black but I’m white but hold on I’m black but don’t forget I’m white too but my dad is black” verse :rollin

Royce is good at singing hooks.

I’ve heard him sing before then, but this is the best I’ve heard him sing. I do understand if people may say he does it too much, but it actually fits in the spots he does it

The only song I really don't like is the Marsha Ambrosia one.
Marsha's songs are all starting to sound the same. She sounds the same on this song and her song on Nipsey's album

Book of Ryan needs its own thread. One of the most personal albums I've ever heard. So far best album of 2018 but I feel like it's gonna get slept on
