[Discussion] Downsizing/Minimizing Sneaker Collection or Quitting Collecting + TIPS/RESOURCES VOL. STAY STRONG FROM BLACK FRIDAY!

Just thinking out loud and maybe it won’t work but there’s a couple size 13ers posting here wanting to downsize… we could send each other what we want to get rid of and whatever respective ebay market value is, chop off like 25% (give or take?). They’d prob sit for months even at “market value” on eBay anyway. Kinda doesn’t make sense since we’re each wanting to downsize, not buy 🤣 but hey if it’s a good deal 🤷‍♂️

The bigger test for me will be the Columbia XI. I still have my 2018 BC3 so that drop did not phase me.

But these XIs.. I had the 2001 pair waaaay back in the day. They were one of my least worn pairs because they just looked so clean that I never wanted to mess them up. I ended up selling them nearly deadstock.

I have the 2019 Playoff XI (had the 2001 release). I copped the Concords last year (had the 2000 release). Now here are the Columbias staring at me. I've been wearing the Playoffs and Concords to the gym trying to put some miles on them. We'll see how the next 2 weeks unfolds.

Honestly, if I’m selling to someone I know (or e-know), I don’t necessarily need market price. Something fair for both parties. Problem is, figuring out what I want to get rid of, that I won’t regret letting go of.

I agree , moving unneeded shoes and getting the weight off my shoulders/mind is a win.

Had to get rid of my 11s outside of concords.

Love the shoe design but they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have.

Yea very uncomfortable and they don't age well. The patent leather stretches and the yellowing on the clear soles. They only look good when they are new.

random question but has anyone here ever rented a storage unit before?
if so, how long did you have it for, and did the place ever try to contact you saying they are going to raise prices on you after a few months of renting it?

I appreciate the reply.
I think this place I'm renting from is trying to do me dirty.
I recently moved into my lady's place late September, and had to rent one.
They sent us an email last week saying "in 2025, we are raising the unit price", which is going to be an extra hundred a month.
Mind you, I've only had the spot for less than 3 months..

I guess I'll be researching for another place, and moving my stuff out during Christmas week.

You can usually lock in for a year, (esp if you prepay) but they have the right to increase it thereafter to the market rate, which can be a few bucks or well over $100. That whole industry is freak'n annoying.

Anybody know when Stockx is likely to have the next day or two with no fees for selling? I think I'm going to try to move a good 5 or 6 pairs.

It was yesterday and I didn't see that til an hour ago.
I'd been checking every day but yesterday got busy and plus I ball.
I had searches set up and everything.

I'm SICK
