Imma actually give his 2 mixtapes an actual listen this time around.

Time you not making ANY SENSE AT ALL. Grown folks were listening to LL when he was 15, A+, Shyheim, etc.

What does age have to do with this if the music is good?

ehh... they sucked cept ll and that was only cuz rap was still pretty new...

i forgot yall just wanna hear punchlines tho...

@ not even answering the question and making the excuse of rap was still new. How does that have anything to do with how old they were?

They sucked but yet still grown folk listened to them and bought their albums. You don't even have a damn point.

I have to ignore your opinion on them anyway since you don't really like much hip hop to begin with. Who said anything about punchlines?

Well I can say though that there is a difference between Diggy and LL. LL didn't really sound 15. I remember growing up listening to LL's older %!! like "Live Without My Radio" and I honestly didn't know he was 15. I knew he was young but I assumed early 20's. Its clear Diggy is 15. Its not as bad as like back when Chris Brown or Lil' Bow Wow came out and basically rappin' about their elementary school crush or their first kiss but he still sounds like a young'n and that is hard to get past. Wayne, BG and Turk all were young as %!! in the Hot Boys. I knew Wayne was young but I had no idea at the time Turk and BG were 16 and 17. Some people are capable of making you forget their age like Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. I don't think Diggy has that same trait.

Time didn't even give a reason though. If you wanna throw out how a rapper sounds then I know grown men rapping that sound like girls with no base in their voice with plenty of fans.

What you're talking about really doesn't directly deal with age. If you listen to some rapper sounding like he 30 and find out he 13 you gonna stop listening and say you gonna wait 5 years before you give him a listen?

How old Boosie sound? Big Sean sound like a grown man? or Pat Piff? or that one southern dude screaming on the WW3 track, think his name was Yung Wun?

And if Diggy doesn't have that trait that'll make you forget his age so what? I still aint getting an answer for why the age is that important. Can't be about content or believability cuz there's hundreds of rappers that aint about what they spit.

And just to be clear this is the first time I'm giving homey's mixtape a real listen and his age aint been a factor in these songs yet.

If I listen to a rapper that sounds like he's 30 and he's really 13 will I stop listening to him? No. That's my point. Its not really about the age. Its more along the lines of how he sounds and his subject matter. And it does sound like that of a 15 year old. Its tough to get passed. For me anyway. Its hard to take him serious as a rapper. Maybe its the addition of the reality show as well. Dude music is not bad. But I can't say i'd support a release from him aside from downloading a free mixtape.

I don't know who Pat Piff is but Boosie, Big Sean or Yung Wun don't sound like children. Those dudes sound like Grown Men. Especially Yung Wun and Big Sean. Boosie has a high pitched flow but even when he was 16 I didn't think he was actually that age. Sounds like a grown man with a high pitched flow.

Well i'm speaking from a 24 year old's perspective. And for me its tough to get passed listening to a Justin Beiber or a Diggy because I simply can't relate to what they're talking about. That's what sets a Diggy a apart from a LL Cool J, or a Lil' Wayne or a Shyheim. The latter rappers help you forget their age. Diggy reminds you when he speaks.
