No "diet food" is going to
work bro.
Eat at a deficit, find out your macros (
http://www.physiquefx.com/bmr-calculators/ download a calculator from there depending on what your goals are) and eat your foods.
So far i'm down to 208 from 288 since I started taking myself seriously and wanting to turn my life around, tired of being
fatboy. Work out hard, lift heavy, eat at a deficit and you'll see results. Not that diety
results fast BS but long-term results. Depending on how heavy you are don't expect to see the scale rocket down as well.
I'm finishing up my 12th week doing Leangains and so far i'm down 20lb on this ideology. It frees up SO much time, not having to worry about that dumb *** school of thought of
having to eat every two-three hours, or "having to fight off cravings", i'm now free from those things and TBH I couldn't be more happier. I eat within my own 4-6 hour window on a daily basis, get in
all of my macros, allowing my body to digest and fast the other 18-20 hours i'm not taking in a single calorie.
There's tons of different things people do, I recommend you look into
Ketosis,
Paleo,
Intermittent Fasting, and
If It Fits Your Macros (IIFYM), and see which one fits into your life best and doing it almost religiously.
Also, if you're a slacker I recommend you get a calorie counting app like
MyFitnessPal, there's a TON of items on there, odds are if you're eating it there's an entry to choose, and edit the portions as you're intaking them. Don't cheat the app because you're only cheating yourself in the long run.
That's about it in a nutshell but if you're
serious about it and not looking for a quick fix, call it something other than a diet. Like someone mentioned earlier, that word carries so many weak connotations IMO , make it a conscious lifestyle change, not just ___
diet.
Take a peek into the In Shape thread on here, it's a great way to stay motivated IMHO
Good luck brothers
