Did Spiderman 3 ruin the Spiderman franchise?

The first two were nothing special, not bad or anything just not must see. The third one really sucked but I'd give the fourth a chance.

i never usually let a girl pay for me on a date but when i went to go see this, the girl insisted on paying for me and my friend as well, and pay to park inboston.
i think she knew this movie was going to be terrible, and just wanted a reason to hang out, thank god she paid, this movie was TERRIBLE. first 2 spideys aregreat tho!

I wonder what they are saying here. Is it a character already done and they'll be reprising the role? Nobody predicted Ledger would be theJoker so I don't see how someone could guess that.
