My group called it the first day. We almost had the first room a few times, but we just couldn't close it out.

Our group got together in person and LAN partied at my friends spot. Haven’t met a few of the people and have been playing Destiny with them forever so that was cool, and it was back to back 5am nights and back at it again after a few hours of sleep
By the time we had a good strategy for the second encounter half the team was falling asleep and out of it

Got through the story and post-raid story content.
Even with all its issues over the past 10 years, no other game has commanded my attention like this. I continue to enjoy it and the people I have met through the game.
Very interested to see what they announce as the next steps for D2 in about 30 minutes here:

The new raid is one of the most mechanically dense things I have ever done in Destiny, and I was there for Niobe Labs. Too many shapes, and none of them final.

I'm still playing regularly and enjoying it.
Then again, I also jump between many different games like Nightreign and Helldivers to keep things fresh.

I've been out the loop since vanilla Destiny 2 though and was mostly PvE.
Haven't kept up much.
I see there has been a shake up at Bungie.

I haven't played since Final Shape but will be re-downloading this week. SRL coming back is a nice touch.

Heard they got rid of a lot of content since the first few years so surprised it lasted this long.
Those D1 days and the beginning days of D2 were golden. So many hours spent raiding and getting mad at each other for not paying attention, good times

I haven't touched the game in months, but I will definitely be playing the final update. Gotta check out SRL and Guild Dredgen one more time.

Hope we get a Destiny 3 at some point in the next few years.
I played a TON of Destiny 1 (mainly Crucible/Trials) but with D2’s scuffed launch, most of the people I ran with stopped playing after a while so I did too.
D1 PvP was up there with Halo 3 imo as some of the most fun ‘competitive’ shooter experiences.
Especially the days of being able to cheese entire games with a sniper before the ammo change or when the dual sniper meta was a thing.
The metas were a bit too ridiculous to call truly competitive but it was so much fun.
They had to be on crack when they thought of that perk that let your sniper just go through solid walls. On certain maps or gamemodes you could just spam shots through corners with enough consistency that people would think you’re cheating.
