social media is what you make of it
if you want to surround yourself with materialism and self centered people you have that option
if you want to surround yourself with self help and diy instructions you have that option

we gotta stop acting like SM is one thing and is ruining everything

Exactly. It's a tool, I have 0 followers on twitter and have a private account nobody knows about (literally)

I follow like 10 people (some comics, some news outlets and some business journals and some people I know)

My tweets are like a diary of travels and thoughts that come to my mind, and I can look back on them and laugh or observe the growth I have had since the post.

I just use my instagram to look at thots but ideally it could be used in the same way I use my twitter
