*sighs* im happy hes doing well, but watching him perform like he has with the clips has been depressing. Not resigning him was an awful mistake.

Well Matt Barnes confirms his HATE for Mike Brown and confirms what we all knew from the beginning.

Mike Brown didn't know what the F he was doing :lol

Matt Barnes calls time with Lakers 'a bad situation'

Matt Barnes spent two years with the Lakers before leaving for the Clippers.

The Clippers (23-6) are currently riding a 15-game win streak and Barnes is averaging 11 points a game on 50.2% shooting from the field.

According to an NBA executive, one of the main reasons the Clippers have won so many in a row is "Matt Barnes is playing out of his mind."

When told of the comments, Barnes' response included a slam of ex-Lakers coach, Mike Brown.

"I've been working hard these past few summers. Last year, playing with the Lakers, I was told when I could shoot. If I made mistakes, I'd come out of the game," said Barnes. "This year [Coach] Vinny [Del Negro] has installed a lot of trust in me. He lets me go out there and play my game. If I mess up, he still sticks with me and that goes a long way with any player."

Barnes' year with Phil Jackson was a disappointment when he simply wasn't healthy for the postseason. Last year the forward played 63 games, in the lockout-shortened 66-game regular season, for Brown, averaging 7.8 points a game on 45.2% shooting. While he was banged up throughout the playoffs once again, Barnes clearly didn't feel like he had Brown's trust.

"Coach [Del Negro] has confidence in me; that's all I need," said Barnes. "I can play. I've just been stuck in a bad situation for a little while."

Of course now that the Lakers have Coach Mike D'Antoni running the team, Barnes would have been a much more natural fit. Over the offseason, the Lakers did not look to re-sign him and the Clippers were happy to bring the veteran aboard for his second stint with the team.

The Lakers and Clippers meet again at Staples Center on Friday January 4. The Clippers took the first game on Nov. 2, 105-95.

Only good thing Mike Brown ever did was help boost Andrew Bynum's trade value.

Mark Medina: Antawn Jamison to me about 5 DNP's: "It doesn't make sense at all. They're pretty much telling me my services are no longer needed." Twitter

sad situation. I was really hoping he would work out with the team :{

Photos of Last Night's Game. Plus Jamaal Wilkes Photos. And video of Jamaal Wilkes Game 6 in 1980 Finals where he score 37. Are all up on the Tumblr.

I dont see whats eff'd up about the Jamison situation, he cant defend, and isnt consistent enough.

I kinda feel bad for him, but I kinda don't.

I mean the guy isn't a bum regardless of that you guys think. He's certainly a better basketball player than Earl Clark and Robert Sacre, so at the very least he should be playing garbage minutes instead of those guys. Its kinda Disrespectful to gives those guys burn over him. He's earned a little PT in those situations, at the very least, over his career.

However, he isn't who he used to be and it's obvious his age doesn't allow him to run up and down the floor in a proficient manner that is needed in D'Antonis system. It's unfortunate for him, but it's true. As sad as it is to say we really don't need Antawns services at this current moment since things are starting to gel. Now if we go on a big losing streak or injuries happen obviously things will change, but right now he just gotta be patient and humble.

Antwan just needs to be coo for a bit. I think the team is fine the way it is for now & trade talks just destroy team chemistry.

Trade talk is always the most fun

Speaking of trade talk... Lowry is on the trading block with Bargs... But, I still don't want to replace Pau with Bargs. It will be a catastrophe.

I'm dreading the day Steve Blake comes back.... It'll take 1 game, 2 max to realize he hurts us, and doesn't help us in any way. He doesn't distribute well anymore. He doesn't drive. He can barely shoot. His defense is atrocious. I love his effort, but effort only goes so far because he produce little results...

I'm going down as saying Blake was the worst signing the Lakers have made in almost a decade. Not talent wise, but just the details. He was 29 when we signed him. Never even above league average in PER. And we gave him a 4 year deal. At $4mil a year. Absolutely terrible signing at the time, and even worse today..

When he comes back, he's going to clog up the rotation in the way moving Kobe to the 3, and MWP to the 4 did. And MDA will play him a lot because he likes his game :lol I'd rather trade Blake right now and get back the worst NBA player possible just so we can have someone who won't play.

It made sense at the time because Blake was seen as a steady PG and the Lakers couldn't stomach Farmar's inconsistent play and attitude. But of course, Blake declines after he signed. :rolleyes

But I will say Blake has probably been the most disappointing Laker acquisition to me since maybe Lindsay Hunter in 2002.

Sure I can see that.

But even then 4 at 4 a year. Is absurd. I read it a couple days ago, wish I could find it. But it was basically saying signing a backup to 4 years, especially one at 29. Is ridiculous. Even for a younger guy it isn't normally the right decision because most backups are not going to bring it for 4 years, and you'll be stuck holding the bag for most of that contract. It's an obvious point when you think about it.

It was such an awful year number. Why not 2 at $5mil. Or Two with a third year option at $6mil. 4 years for a 29 year old backup with limited athleticism, and slightly above average at best skill was just a bad move.

But I guess blame it on a weak Free Agency Pool. But 4 years tho :{ Hell Superstars only get a 5 year contract.

Prays that Mitch can turn Blake into a Luke Walton candidate like last year.. Go after any underachiever in the NBA. I'll take it.

they knew what they were getting. jamison was NEVER a good defensive player.

he should thrive with antoni but apparently he smashed antonis wife or something...

this is ridiculous man...

mike brown and now antoni making sure no vets or role playing free agents ever want to come here again...

naw look up the definition in the urban dictionary. has nothing to do with majority lol nice one though

i wanna know what the reason really was for you all to defend that dude though. that guy was bad news the first day he signed..
