After seeing Nash come back with 12 points and 9 assists I think we are a solid playoff team. Are we a title contender? We'll see in the next few weeks.

i think it will be more late jan/mid feb till we start really gelling and looking like a title contender (that is if it happens)

With the team looking this good with The Maestro back, with such little practice, the L.A. Lakers are title contenders.

Wow. Probably the best and exciting Warriors/Lakers game I've ever been to! And most of their games at Oracle have always been entertaining. We were left for dead and I cannot believe we won! Let's see if we can keep this up.

been m.i.a. for the last 3 days. did not get to watch the lakers vs warriors. saw the 13 minute highlights on youtube. nash looked good. the offense looked better. the defense still needs work. the thing that had me

is the number of minutes nash logged coming back from his injury at that age. pringles should of eased him in but nash looked good.

Not sure if this has been posted... Apparently Dwight is still recovering from sciatic nerve damage :x

Dwight Howard continues to feel the effects of his April surgery to repair a herniated disk.

Howard returned from the surgery ahead of schedule, but he still hasn't played to his pre-surgery form.

"I'm still in that process," Howard said. "People don't understand that. They just come out and see me make a couple dunks and blocks and say, 'Oh, he's back.' But it does take a while for all this stuff to heal. This is not something easy, so I understand that. It will come."

Howard is averaging 17.8 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.1 steals per game, but the full influence of his play on defense hasn't been felt yet by the Lakers.

"Tingling in my legs all the way down to my feet," Howard said as he described his current state. "There's times when sometimes I really can't even feel my feet. (The doctors) said that's going to happen. It takes at least nine months for you to get strength back in your legs and all that stuff. So I'm still in that process."

That **** is scary right there, back surgeries are not a one and done thing. People wanna say what they want about Dwight, but forget that this dude just came back from BACK SURGERY.

You know the average Joe would be on disability and miking it for as long as possible :lol :lol
And this dude is back after 1 season. :x

I mean, dude wasn't even pinned to start playing until right about now.

anyone who expected him to be at 100 percent is a moron

I like the direction we are going, it's looking good

As someone who has similar back problems, I find it amazing that he can play at all this soon after surgery. Very impressive!

Dwight isn't even 100%, Nash probably isn't either. I still think we can come out with a win tomorrow. Whether it's about defense or a shootout.

I was making a master list of PG & SF that are remotely available. Now I don't know what the hell we need with Kobe at the 3.

The best PGs that are available would be at the expense of Pau. And now it looks like we need a combo guard. Delonte West would be the only quality guard that is available without losing Pau.

But here's the list anyway

Point Guards

Mo Williams – UTA - +Good shooter, good passer -Slow
Delonte West – FA - + Pesky Def, Decent on open 3s, Decent Distributor - Personality Problems, Injury
Jose Calderon – TOR - +Great passer, Solid 3pt -Injuries have made him one of the worst defenders at PG
Ben Gordon – CHA - + Combo Guard, Great Shooter - A lot of turnovers, doesn’t pass, matchup problem against most guards
Devin Harris – ATL - + gets to the bucket - bad defender/injury prone
Aaron Brooks – SAC - +Good backup, good enough in most offensive categories -Not consistent, Too small and still gets outrun by the better PGs
Luke Ridnour – MIN - +P&R wizard, decent court vision - Lack of athleticism makes him weak Def.
D.J. Augustin – IND - + Can drive and kick – Too small def., mediocre 3, been atrocious this year
Beno Udrih – MIL - + Good finisher - Can’t guard quick guards
Nate Robinson – CHI + Scorer, Can take over games, Pesky Def - Small, Bad Shot Selection, Gamble Defender too often
Kirk Heinrich – CHI - + Good distributor - Can’t guard quick Guard, Shooting is weak
Jose Juan Barea – MIN – + Decent P&R - Bad defender, flopper, mediocre shooter
Shaun Livingston – WAS- +Good court vision, solid defender - Bad shooter, injury prone
Jeremy Pargo – CLE - + Can Score - Needs minutes to play well, not a distributor, bad defensively
C.J. Watson – BK - + 3 point shooter - Can’t score anywhere else, Bad half-court def, doesn’t pass
Kendall Marshall – PHX - +Can run floor as he’s a great passer - Can’t defend, can’t shoot, can’t score
Donald Sloan – CLE - + Distributor -Can’t guard quick guards, can’t make anything past 20 feet
Sebastain Telfair – PHX - -His documentary was the best that it gets for him
Marcus Teague – CHI - + Fast Can get to the bucket - His game is very untested for NBA rank. Should have stayed at UK

Similar for Small Forwards. A lot of guys would be cost Pau.

Small Forwards
Dorell Wright – PHI - +Catch and Shoot, Length benefits his Def. –Outside of shooting very poor offensively, inconsistent on Def.
Marvin Williams – UTA - +Transition Offense, decent catch and shoot, Good def -Takes bad shots
Trevor Ariza – WAS- +Length makes him tough def., can get to the basket, transition off. –Bad shooter
Kyle Korver – ATL - + 3 point specialist - solid team defender, but bad one-on-one
Corey Brewer – DEN - +Great Defender, Plays Transition superbly - Can’t play slow, Not consistent at 3s
Danilo Gallinari – DEN - + Good scorer with solid 3, draws fouls -Inconsistent Def, Awful contract
Raja Bell – UTA - +Good defender but is losing it - Old
Al-Farouq Aminu – NOH - + Transition Offense, Good rebounder - Can’t shoot 3s, Inconsistent
Linas Kleiza – TOR- +Shows flashes of being great shooter –Bad defender, never passes
Richard Jefferson – GSW – + Perfect on open 3s esp. in corner, quality defender - Awful contract, declining
Tayshaun Prince – DET - + Length makes good defender, Can play facilitator – Slowing down, and offense is declining
DeShawn Stevenson – ATL - + Defender - Not a scorer, Doesn’t make open 3s as much as you’d like
Michael Redd – PHX - +Solid 3point - Slow, injury-prone
Michael Beasley – PHX - + Good shooter -Bad personality, bad defender, doesn’t always play hard
John Salmons – SAC- + Best he gets was that one series with Bulls -Bad contract, declining rapidly
Derrick Williams – MIN - + Can shoot (just hasn’t shown it) - Bad defender at 3 or 4
Corey Maggette – DET - +Draws fouls - Pretty much everywhere
Josh Childress- BK - -Pretty much declining everywhere

Not to say we can't get a quality PF with a quality 1 or 3. But like Kobe and Mitch said, doing too much at once may cause issues. Definitely more so for starters than backups.. But I'd like to do what we can for PG. And go after a Small Forward like Dorell Wright in Free Agency.

I watch what Matt Barnes is doing for the Clippers and just shake my head. I understand why he wasn't brought back after two poor playoff performances (in large part to injuries), but he played hard and was productive. What makes it worse is that he wanted to return. :{

Barnes = Mike Brown body count. MD would have found a use for him, MB coulda never figured out how to use him. :{
