People keep saying give Dwight the ball, aint much he can do with it because hes still VERY limited offensively and when his ft% factors in hes a terrible low post option.

So hopefully we still go after Delonte... Clark would be the odd man out, he should go... He has the least value excluding DJO and Sacre.

And hold all our eggs in the basket and try to trade for another backup PG.

Keep Kobe as starting SG, but moved to the 3 for a good amount of time to play with Meeks.. The 3 for Kobe should be easier to defend, and play offense at his age (excluding the Lebron's, Melo's, KD's)

We need to stack up on the guard position... We get 5 solid guys at both guard spots (We have 3)... With the rest of the personnel that we have and that is a top to bottom solid roster..

Nash/ (??? Backup) / Delonte
Kobe/ Meeks / Delonte
Metta/Kobe/ (Ebanks would probably be gone as well)
Pau/Jamison/ Hill
Howard/ Pau/ Hill

Sacre
DJO
and probably an extra throwaway piece we would get from a trade.

Kevin Love: Minnesota Timberwolves, 24, PF
Contract status: In first year of a four-year, $60 million contract. Can opt out after the 2014-15 season.
Buzz: In an interview with Yahoo! Sports NBA columnist Adrian Wojnarowski, Love recently questioned the direction of the franchise under owner Glen Taylor and general manager David Kahn. Love isn't happy about not getting a five-year maximum contract, and some teams might try to explore acquiring him from Minnesota.
"I don't think that's a match that is permanent in Minnesota," a rival assistant GM said. "I'm not saying they're shopping, but if they can get the right deal they would look at it. And I don't think he wants to be there."

Love not happy with management
Rubio wants to play with fellow Spainard Pau....
T'Wolves was offered Hill a bigger contract during this off-season and he declined. D'Antoni and Hill probably still don't see eye to eye....

Just a thought, in case Nash and Pau doesn't work out and Kevin Love still has issues with management.

:p

How do you sound? :rolleyes

How did he go from being a top 3 post option in the league in Orlando to a terrible low post option overnight? No he doesn't have Jameer delivering perfect post passes to him anymore and he's not 100% recovered but Kobe hasn't really been trying to set him up as much as he should either. A big man can't get himself the ball, the guards have to be focused on getting it to him when and where he needs it to operate.

Lakers should just come out and feed him the ball EVERYTIME THEY CAN. Let teams put him on the line.

Eventually defenses will have to back off or risk being in the penalty with ~ 7 minutes left in the quarter. Thats a back breaker.

Thats when guards can start slashing, MWP can start bullying on the block....which will also open up the 3 point shot.

Kobe led the team in assists, even the PG couldn't out-assist Kobe. And people say Kobe doesn't pass, he set up Meeks for a couple of good looking 3's last night.

Lol it doesn't make sense how Kobe shot the ball like crap and yet win the game but when he shoots amazing they lose.

Dwight is getting around the same touches and FGAs as when he was a No. 1 option in ORL. He just needs to covert more and hit his FTs.

dont forget that it works against the wizards, with the worst record in the league.. but against elite teams there is no way we would win that game

They're having fun again :lol
Sacre,JHill...Nash?

"Where are the blue gatorades rookie!"

I can tell you have very limited basketball knowledge

Dwight had a lot of room to operate in Orlando because they have like 4 shooters surrounded him at all time. They had guys like Jameer, Hedo, Ryan Anderson, Reddick, etc to stretch the floor for Howard.

With the Lakers, they don't have the same amount of shooters nor as many good shooter like Orlando

Howard is not that dominant on offense neither. Dude has like 2 moves in his arsenal.

When Nash gets back, Howard will be up to 13-14 FGA a game.

No center in the league today should be over 15-16.. Last one who did consistently was Shaq, but he was a DOMINANT post player. No one could stop him, so he went around 19-21 shots a game. Howard is a skilled post player, but not dominant.

Just dumping it into Howard play after play and backing off to do get to the bucket is not a winning strategy..... It wasn't with Bynum, it won't be with Howard. Unless you're a dominant post player, you should not be getting the ball every play.

Even with Kobe, D'Antoni should run pick & rolls with Kobe and Dwight... That's something D'Antoni has to call for, but he calls as many Kobe iso's as Brown did, and as Phil did.

But Howard already get the ball a lot. Should it be a little more? Yes. But only enough to give him a few more shots a game.

Really waiting for Gasol and Nash to return. Anyone have any rumors on a trade for Gasol perhaps?

if nash was not hurt what do you think our record would have been?? we still havent had games with our starting 5...maybe 2 games only

you cant say for sure....

Ill tell you one thing tho, when he does come back...defending the pg position is going to be even more of a problem than it is now.

I bet this will make P smile... Report is that Al Jefferson and Paul Milsap WILL be traded before the trade deadline.
