Lakers sign 7-1 center Ronnie Aguilar
LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Lakers signed center Ronnie Aguilar, the team announced Thursday.
Aguilar, a 7-foot-1, 250-pound center, played two seasons at Colorado State University before transferring to California State Dominguez Hills. Aguilar also is a graduate of Marshall High in Los Angeles.
Most recently, Aguilar, 25, played in six games for the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League during the 2011-12 season, averaging 2.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 11.5 minutes.
Aguilar will give the Lakers 19 players heading into the start of training camp next week. Aguilar, along with Reeves Nelson and Greg Somogyi, are expected to be long shots to make the team.
DFish lurking again at practice and going the BShaw & Ron Harper route of playing 1 last half season for his last ring then go into starting out as assistant coach when he's retired.I'd have no problem bringing him back in March. He'll be rested and ready for the playoffs.
I never want to see Derek Fisher play 1 more minute in a Lakers jersey....
I want Barbosa damnit!
I hope we are a big player come trade deadline for a SF... *Prays a dozen teams need a PG*
Would love to see DJO & Morris shine.. But still not faithfully they can do it on the stage..
Why are you so keen on getting barbosa? His services aren't gonna make or break this team one way or the other
Quit being salty and treating dude like Smush Parker.
Respect dude for his clutch shots and what he brought to the looker room.

Also Blake & Duhon both have 2 years left at around $4 million for each season.
Their contracts won't be attractive to any other team until next summer or closer to the 2013-2014 season trading deadline when they are expiring contracts and teams want some cap relief and other teams are going to try to get the Lakers to take their bad contracts.Lakers by then will be looking to trade both guys for 2nd round draft picks or a trade exceptions. No team will give them even a late 1st round pick for Blake or Duhon
I see this dude is still looking frail...
