I just read through the Lakers series... some of it still makes my blood boil. Especially the part when the Lakers were knocked out in Game 7, and Raja Bell's mother asked Kobe if he needed a hug>:

That's because Kobe said it first when Raja initially called him a pompous arrogant individual. Kobe was asked what he thought about Raja Bell's comment and he said he didn't know this kid and that Kobe had bigger fish to fry. Kobe then said that Raja wasn't probably hugged enough as a kid.

Now you know how I felt in the off-season when Essential couldn't stop talking about Barbosa...
But in hindsight I was right... We should have done it then based on where we are now..
In hindsight......yeah, I guess you were right. Barbosa WOULD be perfect right now.
But at the time i dont think anyone knew Nash would get injured in the 2nd game of the season, blake would get injured, and then we would fire Mike Brown, pass on Phil Jackson then hire Coach D'Antoni 2 weeks into the season.
It hasn't exactly been a very predictable season so far.
Although Pietrus isn't GREAT, i think he would offensively give us a lot more than most of these old bums on our bench.
I say give him a shot for the vet minimum.

I wanted him. Haven't checked his stats, but he's always been a streaky/inconsistent shooter. His athleticism, youth, length, and ability to defend is why I wanted him in Purple & Gold.

Let's be honest how many minutes are we expecting from Steve Nash?

If Pau gets traded it would basically be for another PF... Unless a team is unloading a top 5 position player.

At some point the bench has got to be improved, Pau has been my man, but he's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
Stuck has shot terribly to start this year, he's still a valuable scorer especially with our HORRID 2nd unit. He will feast on 2nd unit D.
Jerebko/Singler >>>> Hill/Jamison especially in a uptempo style. Daye is a backup for MWP and is at least equal to Ebricks.

How many solid bench players do you honestly need... Anything over 5 is the beginning of unnecessary...
Meeks, Jamison, Hill is 3 (when performing). Now you need 2 more.. Trading Pau unless you get back a Josh Smith.. Plugs 1 hole, by creating another.
You could easily fill in a solid bench without sacrificing our starting lineup

We couldnt get Teague & Smith for Pau in the offseason.. Not going to change now..
The ship has sailed for Josh Smith, unless he says he wants to leave.. Which he no longer says.
