but the offense is not the problem.. yeah i dont have faith in the system, but with kobe on offense, you know he'll try to put numbers on the board.. it's the defense that is the issue, and defense is also part of the system.. and when you have explosive players on your roster, i am thinking that defense is more of an important aspect.. because you know offensive minded players will get their points
OFFENSE WINS GAMES, DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS...

Then don't ask me about the offense.

so you think that this starting five would be great in an uptempo style of offense?

We talking about offense and since you're off base there, you want to change the conversation to defense. :{

Ultimately, yes. BUT, to say his style of offense is absurd is more or less talking out of your *** bro. Team's all over the NBA have since adopted bits, pieces, and entire schematics from D'Antoni since he implemented early in Phoenix. His team's have been in the upper class of offensive efficiency. If the offense didn't work, none of this would be true. And then you go on to say he'll clash with Kobe....with what proof? Because he clashed with Melo? D'Antoni had a part in coaching Kobe among other players during the Olympics. No reported problems. And Woodson is successful now? LOL, where's his ring since that's all that matters....amirite?
Cats are stone stupid my dude lmao.

ANYBODY who thinks this is a good move in ANY way, to leave Phil Jackson sitting on the table, and hire D'Antoni, knows nothing about basketball. I can't believe Jim Buss' ego stood in the way of this decision.

Irregardless isn't a written word. But is regarded as a spoken word.
Textually it is an error.. Verbally it is not an error...
Each dictionary makes that distinction
It is a word just not widely excepted by narcissistic tight *****. People get irritated because it's a double negative or a nonstandard. It's used in written language also.

Damn, we did Phil dirty

Yeah I wanted Phil back to. It is what it is though. I'm cautiously optimistic about what D'Antoni can do with all this talent at his disposal.

Kobe idolized D'Antoni.... Soooooo.... I'm pretty sure he respects him.

I think that whole "idolized" has always been a little exaggerated. He was an average player here, maybe something special in Italy. It would be like Allen Iverson idolizing Rafer Alston, it just doesn't make sense. D'Antoni isn't half the player Kobe is.

This Jim Buss and Phil Jackson situation is similar to Jerry Jones and Jimmie Johnson :{

Blake wont play tomorrow. More playing time for Morris :hat , hopefully he settles in and just let the game come to him.

what do you think the facts are?

all we know that happened was they met on saturday. they agreed to talk again on monday to let him think about it. they hired d'antoni on sunday.
we don't know for sure what he exactly asked for because there are sources saying he asked for too much and also saying that the reported demands were overblown.
we don't know how much money he was asking for, because there are sources saying he was asking for $15 million, and sources saying he was willing to take less since he was aware of the luxury tax bill

WOJ reports sets it in stone.

I'm not happy about it. I hate it. It sucks. There's nothing we can do about it.

There's no BASKETBALL reason why Phil should have not been the coach of this team. We don't have Mike Brown, that's great. I can't get all over Pringles because he hasn't coached THIS TEAM. We'll see how far we get this year and what he puts together. If we're trying to score 110 a game and giving up 106 this will not bring us a championship. That's been his pedigree from what I know and have seen.

This team is built for the half court, I hope the gameplan is to play to that strength. If not, no titles anytime soon.

My main concern now turns to if Dwight will leave in the offseason. I don't think Phil would have driven him off but I have nothing to back that up.

Oh well, let's get this next W.

I'm with you man. No sense in crying over something we have zero control over. D'Antoni is now our coach so let's show some support.
