It's the pre-season...and as much as Portis carries the rock, the Skins need to keep him fresh and limit his time in these meaningless games. Dude gives 110% everytime he's on the field, and the last thing the skins need is for him to get hurt (like he did 3 years ago chasing down Kewan Ratliff)and miss significant time in the regular season....you know what you're getting w. Portis...he doesn't need to be out there.

You and I both know what Portis brings to the table during the regular season, I get that, but that's not the point. To me, it would be nice at least ifhe played 1 if not 2 series tonight, I think he still has the mentality that he might get hurt like he did 3 years ago, however if you play scared bad thingshappen to you IMO. Portis can say the same thing during Week 1 of the season how he wants his body to hold up and seat out for the first few games, I mean tome it's a mental issue really. The same way you can do down in Week 1 of preseason is the same way you can go down in Week 1 of the regular season, justask Tom Brady.

I see what you're saying in the first part in your response to what I said about Portis...no argument from me....
