Yes they were. I can remember mom dropping me off at the arcade entrance with $10, and being good for 3 hours + until she picked me up.That's another thing that's practically dead, outside of Dave & Busters arcades as a kid were some of the most fun things around
Where i live we got 2 malls. The white people mall and the black people mall.

Yall remember that huge candy store with all those bins with plastic lids each filled with various wonderful candies.
Like rock candies and jaw breakers.
They replaced mines with a zales.
[emoji]128064[/emoji]How those fish migrate to the mall tho.
Just left this mall today. Movie theatre only thing keeping this place alive. Always have gems at that Dillard's outlet
The MetroCenter mall by Glendale, AZ used to be a great place to shop when I was a kid. It is literally a ghost town now, except for the Walmart. There are still some restaraunts around it, especially by the I-17 but it is definitely sad to see what happened to it
I wish my mall had a movie theater. It used to have 2. One was a really small theater and the other was probably one of the most run down ones in the country.
The mall just had a Century 21 open up but have a few empty store spaces and food court spots keep closing.

Great Lakes, twelve oaks, Somerset, birch run, partridge creek are all legit b. Oakland, lakeside, Fairlane are only good for release day sneaker purchasesBasically
Outdoor malls are meh
Michigan has one good mall and that's somerset because it's a higher end mall but even that place is boring
The rest are ghetto as hell, surprised any of them are still open if you want my honest opinion
