DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

I just want a detective heavy Batman film...Something like Long Halloween...

As far as this Robert De Niro being cast in the Joaquin Joker film...Carmine Falcone?

Avengers 1 comes to mind with the Shield Helicarrier. Black Panther too. I just have those stupid *** images from justice league animated of actually seeing Wonder Woman sitting down and visible

I’m on board with forgetting BvS, but I would ask why was she flying coach. Maybe it got destroyed.
Ultra rich and has C seating at south west airlines :lol

Gal Gadot and ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Planned As Warner’s Big Comic-Con Surprise

It hasn’t quite been reined in by the Amazon’s Lasso of Hestia yet, but a surprise appearance at Comic-Con by Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot looks likely to happen.

Plans are still being finalized and coordinated for the schedule of the Patty Jenkins-directed sequel Wonder Woman 1984, but we hear that not only will Gadot be showing up in Hall H for Warner Bros’ big DC presentation — she’ll be bringing a look at the Wonder Woman sequel with her.

What form that sneak peek will take is TBD right now as the film set to open November 1, 2019, is just a couple of weeks into production. However, having said that, WB did release three stills from the flick last week, so clearly something is in the can for the film co-starring Chris Pines.

Already scheduled is a fresh trailer drop of Aquaman, per director James Wan last week, and it’s quite conceivable that DC’s Shazam! will fly in too.

SWAMP THING Character Breakdowns Confirm Matthew Cable And Hint At The Series' Villain

The DC Universe streaming service's live-action Swamp Thing series is scheduled to begin filming this September, and on the heels of character breakdowns for Alec Holland and Abigail Arcane, we have two more descriptions courtesy of That Hashtag Show.

The first is for a supporting character named Matt Cable, who should be familiar to fans of the early Len Wein comics as well as Neil Gaiman's Sandman (it's a long story, but remember Morpheus' raven Mathew? Same guy).

This take on Cable is described as "the sheriff of the town and former high school sweetheart to Abby Arcane. A good guy with anger issues." Apparently, DC is looking for someone in their mid-30s to fill this role and are using Westworld actor James Marsden as their prototype.

We have far less to go on for the villain of the piece, but we do know that an actor in their late-40s to late-50s "in the mold of Lawrence Fishburne or Jeff Goldblum" is being sought to play a “smart, slick and cunning” baddie. There are a few possibilities, but speculation points to Abby's deranged uncle and The Earth Elemental's nemesis, Anton Arcane.

In all honesty, does anyone care at this point anymore? The entire DCEU is going through a massive change.

first it was not the real lex.. now this

Hac Snyder just wants some spotlight because they're not letting him direct anymore.
I already feel sorry for the gullible studio to let him touch one of their franchises.

Universal better be smart. I can actually see Feige warning Sony :lol

The Batman Rumor: Continuity Depends On Upcoming DCEU Reception

According to ElFanboy Podcast, Warner Bros. is actually waiting to see how people will react to their upcoming films before ultimately deciding what they want to do with the Batman standalone movie.

So essentially, they want to develop this Batman movie as if it is a reboot, as if it's all new. But they're not gonna make any overt statements about it, they're just gonna make a movie about a younger Batman, who - I believe it takes place in the past, which will create a backdoor for if they ever do want to cross-pollinate him with the other DC characters again. ... They're going to make Batman as his own standalone franchise, they're gonna basically start him over again to a degree, but they're going to leave a back door open so that, depending on how the next few DC movies do, from there, they can decide which continuity he's a part of and whether or not they're gonna push forward on the shared concept and do more crossover movies."

Just a rumor but its believable. They used BVS and the reception it to affect how Justice League was made

I can totally believe that rumor cuz something was said in one of the articles about the new guy running the DCEU that he's not going to do have them release a slate of premiere dates for their movies anymore believing that hasn't gone well for them.

They're basically playing everything by ear from here on out until some kind of formula pans out. So yeah, no plan.

That could be cool if Kelsey does it. Not cuz of Doom Patrol.

SWAMP-THING: James Wan And Deran Sarafian Sign On To Direct Pilot Episode For DC Universe Streaming Service

That Hashtag Show has revealed that Aquaman director James Wan will co-direct the latter's pilot alongside Deran Sarafian. Wan was named as an executive producer last month and so it makes sense that he'll take on a larger role in proceedings, especially as his name being connected to it will generate interest. Sarafian, meanwhile, has over two decades of TV experience so he definitely knows his stuff.

His credits include shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, House, and Fringe.
