Joaquin Phoenix on Joker Casting Rumor: ‘What Movie About a Joker?’

“What movie about a Joker?” Phoenix said in an interview with Allocine. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Who's that?
Charisma Carpenter I believe

latest

Yeah Charisma Carpenter since they were talking about Whedon being a creep on the set of his shows/films.

Also off topic, and not defending anyone, just a random observation, that creep label flies around a lot less if you're attractive.

You have to understand the creep dynamic. The attractive person can only be the creepee, not the creeper.

It's funny because Millar and Matthew Vaughn had pitched ideas for a Superman trilogy to WB back in 2008 that never materialized ...
That would've been radically different than Snyder's and Singer's versions of Superman.

I probably would've liked it but I can also see it being on the other extreme end.

The Marvel films are better the DCEU because they're better written and more fleshed out. It has nothing to do with "relatable".

Is Batman relatable to the average person? No, but we still like the character anyway.

I believe the director said he's going to look like the version in JL:War animated film

Relatability has a lot to do with the appeal of characters .

I like the characters because i CANNOT relate to them.

I love imagination. I dont wanna see Boyz N The Hood with super powers.

I like Batman cuz hes rich and can do whatever he wants. Im broke as ****.

I like Hulk cuz hes un **** witable

I like the fantasy of it all.

That's fine. But the relatability was a big factor into the popularity of marvel characters when they first appeared

In comics before movies.

Its the main reason they were such a success.

Relatable sci-fi/fantasy fiction if you will.

TIME WARNER Could Be Broken Into Parts If AT&T Acquisition Fails - Report

If AT&T's planned acquisiton of Time Warner is nixed, the company may be broken up into parts for smaller sell-offs, according to The Wrap. The planned acquisition was first announced in October 2016, with a sale price of $85 billion.

Citing information from an unidentified source close to Time Warner, The Wrapspecifically named Warner Bros., HBO, and Turner as divisions that could be spun out of Time Warner to make sales of those divisions easier.
DC Entertainment was not named as a potential spin-off of its own, but it currently operates under the umbrella of Warner Bros - and has since the early 1970s.
Interesting.

If the acquisition falls through amd they sell off divisions, I do wonder what WB will do after and if DC will be sold as well at some point. May change everything for the DCEU.
