CRUSHED: new ID AF1 split after wearing them just twice

Well regardless of what you think it is the truth. I'm not some young kid that is going to run around wearing them 24/7 and since I don't walk around looking at my feet I really can't tell you how they were damaged.

For *ALL* my shoes I have a habit of wearing them 4-5 times around my house to make double sure they fit, and to break them in on the carpet. I have many pairs of shoes that are 3-4 years old that look brand new because of the care and attention I have for things I buy.

This is the first time I've ever had any Nikes split like that especially in this area. Its been 4-5 years since I ordered anything from the NIKEID.com webpage, so I wondered if anyone had a similar problem.

I'll take the shoes downtown to the nike store where they can look at the condition, and all the little tell tale signs for wear (the little stars on the heel and toe, and the insides of the shoe) and have them make the decision.

Thanks for the advice from most of you. For you others that seem to think I'm trying to pull some BS, you couldn't be more wrong.

Ive never experienced tearing of the leather it self. But I do have a pair of AM90 IDs that have to be some of the lowest quality shoes I own. There are stitches popping all over the shoe, only time Ive EVER had this problem. Its a shame when a newer custom built shoe wont last as long as a 10 year old GR.
