Sorta inspired from this thread about asian women
There is a preconceived notion from back in the day that Asian=Chinese. Probably & more than likely has to do with the influx of Mainland Chinese folks that came to America in the late 1800s, early 1900s.
East Asia includes: Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau
Are South East Asians better at English than East Asians. Not talking about the ones that were born here or practically grew up here.
It's just that most of the East Asians that i meet, they tend to stick to their own group, and they have trouble with English. Viets and Filipinos will stick together too, but they have less or no language barrier.
Going back to the Asian Women thread linked above. Even there, there was mention of South East Asians are more receptive of black and latin men than East Asians whom want the white men to climb the proverbial social ladder
