The fact that he's risking his professional career speaks volumes.

His career about one 3 pick game away from being over anyways.

Athletes from all backgrounds should be donating millions upon millions towards resources for the urban demographic. There's so much athletes could do with their disposable income that could make a legitimate impact. After school programs, drug treatment, job/trade skills and training, housing, schools, counseling/therapy, child care...hell even lawyers. Sitting for the anthem by Kaep is a story that will soon disappear. Take some of that dough and make an actual difference. I work in the system so I know how much funding provided by the government is lacking for people seriously in need.

I must say I have heard it sung, but never noticed the lyric or looked up the words.

Every time I heard it sung was by elementary school kids, so now I'm wondering if the teachers edited out the words that is why i never noticed, if not :x

I think it'll be tough on him this season, his own teams fan base already kinda dislikes him.

I can tell you this much.  Obviously, this was prior to most people noticing him sitting during the National Anthem.....

But the stadium ERUPTED when he ran out on the field for the first time.  Like I said this was prior to the incident, but the fan base that was in the building was wholeheartedly behind Kap.  Also, not sure how much this has to do with the fact that the alternative is Blaine freakin Gabbert.  But at least at the time, I dont agree with you that the fan base kinda dislikes him.  Not as a whole at least.
