Then nothing will really change, because that's how the offense it now. Dunleavy seems to like it that way. Everthing is always a post-up ora pick-n-roll with nobody else moving. Randolph will fit right into the system.Originally Posted by CP1708

All we need from Zach is 15/10 which I think he's capable of doing alongside either Kaman or Camby.
btw I so wish that GSW FO didn't match that contract we offered 'Buike. Our team would have been so thoro.
I know the numbers look sexy, but trust me, Zach ain't worth it. He slows everything down, the rest of your guys will get stagnant when he has the ball and off the court he's just as much a liability. He cares about his numbers more then he cares about wins. You don't want that around your young guys.
And wow if you guys go after Vince. They will be soft as hell, but you will have that entertainment value, that talkin about the squad thing going. But as I'm sure ya'll know, VC is beyond weak.

Randolph, Collins Debuts Delayed
The L.A. Clippers have released a press release saying that Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins are unable to play for the team tonight as the results from the physicals for the players traded on Friday are not yet known.
"Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins will not be in uniform for tonight's game between the Clippers and New Orleans Hornets. None of the four players in Friday's trade between the Clippers and New York Knicks are eligible to play for their new teams until the results of all physicals are known. Accordingly, the Clippers' Monday afternoon media availability session scheduled for Randolph and Collins will be postponed."

Kaman To Bobcats For J-Rich?
The L.A. Clippers would like to get the Zach Randolph deal signed and sealed so they can start tinkering with their lineup.
The deal, which saw Randolph and Mardy Collins arrive from New York in exchange for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley, has been delayed due to the Knicks having concerns about Mobley's heart.
Should the trade go through, according to J.A. Adande from ESPN.com, one source said the Clippers are talking to the Charlotte Bobcats about a package that would send Kaman to Charlotte for Jason Richardson. However, another Clippers' source said, "Kaman's not out there."
Mobley Fails Physical; Knicks Have Yet To Sign Off
Cuttino Mobley has failed the physical administered after he and Tim Thomas were traded to New York in exchange for Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins.
The delay was earlier described as a "paperwork" matter but it was revealed that the Knicks were investigating concerns about the condition of Mobley's heart.
Mobley will meet with another doctor on Tuesday.
The Knicks are not expected to void the deal. A team may waive the requirement that a player pass his physical to complete a trade.
Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins were forced to sit out Monday's game waiting for the trade to become final.
Mobley doesn't want to be a Knick.Any possiblity hecan come back to LA? Damn, that would be sweet.
I agree but we have a huge hole at the 2 spot and if Zach can give us close to 20/10 and Baron, Camby and Thornton can all contribute then I'dconsider this trade.Originally Posted by I NaSmatic I
Clippers can get more for Kaman than that...plus Gordon looks lik a quality SG.
Personally, I wouldn't do the deal, if anything I would only trade Chris Kaman for an expiring contract or young talent/picks...I expect ZBoto put up close to 20/10 (if it helps the Clippers win is another matter), Baron, Thornton and Camby to contribute. Let Eric Gordon get his 35-38 minutes agame and have Mardy Collins back him up (assuming the trade goes through) till then.Originally Posted by mjshoefanatic

Evening Scoop: Kaman Deal Closer?

As we've been talking about for the better part of a week, the Charlotte Bobcats are serious in their pursuit of Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman. Even as things are starting to come together in their backcourt, where DJ Augustin has had stunning success playing alongside Raymond Felton, the team is still sorely deficient in the frontcourt . . .and still losing most nights.
The first deal discussed between the two teams was supposedly about Gerald Wallace, but the Clippers weren't ready to pull the trigger on that one. They even went so far as to deny there were talks, though we know now that there were. And even as the Clippers continue to say they're not looking to trade Kaman, the evidence is mounting on the side of them just looking to sweeten the deal.
Today reports have surfaced that the Bobcats have reached for the sugar.
According to ESPN, the Bobcats have now offered Jason Richardson as part of a package deal that would bring Kaman to Charlotte. Richardson would be a nice mentor for promising rookie Eric Gordon, and can score with the best of them. It would make a lot of sense for the Clippers, now overloaded with centers after the Zach Randolph trade, to cash in a tower in favor of some perimeter help.
It's clear both of these teams are in need of at least one major move to make them competitive, and it's probably just a matter of time (and maybe a few more Clippers losses) before something gets done.
