Cleveland Police Slay 12 yo boy in playground..VIDEO

google tamir parents.

His dad has some domestic abuse charges.

If you look at the comments, people are firing them up.

Its so distasteful... Like, wtf does his parents having a record have to do with him getting shot.

I think its normal for the media to dig up the worse stuff they can about black people when it seems they were wrongfully killed.

Kinda like justifying to the masses why they got killed...

They couldn't find anything because the dude is 12... So they dug up stuff on his parents...

Kinda like saying what he "would" be, so its cool they killed him...

RIP Tamir

wow ... I never really participate in these discussions, but that was extremely poor judgement by those cops .... They pulled right up on him, and the poor kid didn't even have a chance to surrender. They can not be that stupid and even if they are, they should pay the price for their stupidity. If they felt threatened, why would they roll up within feet of him?

Holy ****, that is scary ......
LOL cops also have a job to make sure some crazy psycho doesn't harm anyone else, it's not just about protecting yourself. Someone called it in because it was a potentially precarious situation.

I'd want my cop to act swiftly in that situation.
So acting swiftly means driving up quickly, literally 5 feet from him? Kid got spooked and put his hands on his waist to show them his fake gun and got blasted in seconds.

^ thats all the caller saw.

he is the main catalyst.

a real man would have intervened with the kid.

Ain't no way I'm finna let a person short in height wave around a gun.

"YO!"

but naw......

lets dial 911. Give a pathetic description of the incident to keep the telephone game going.

which was successful.

race...naw...

coward...yes...

rookie?......smh yes

The 911 caller said on the recording they believe the gun is "fake". That was a 12 year old kid, if that's what it takes to be a cop, I must be doing this human being thing all wrong.

This is just all wrong. I grew up hearing that the black man was an endangered species in this country, but the notion was always shrugged off.

We don't have time to be stupid kids, and to learn from mistakes. Hell, we can't even move without seeming threatening.

Honestly, what am I to do, as a young black man in America? This division of race & class is beyond tired.

This situation is wrong all around. Kid shouldn't have been waving around a fake gun in a park and cops shouldn't have been so quick to kill. The cops in question don't need to be police any longer imo.

It's a call to action for black men everywhere. If you see young brothers being reckless like Tamir, say something to them so hopefully it sinks in and they avoid being killed. It's obvious it's hunting season for black males, don't make it easier for a white person to kill you.

We know what the kid did? He's dead.

Bottom line is dude shouldn't have been playing with a real looking gun in public. I would have dropped it the second I saw the cop not attempt to show the cops its not real. Ish looked mad real, if the kid would've shot the police there's be no marching, no protests. He handled the situation the way he saw fit, sucked a kid had to die...but let's not act like it wasn't provoked.

Bottom line is there are people who had real weapons, shot multiple people, and were allowed to surrender on their own will.

race plays apart in it, as does everything else. all experiences in life contribute to future thoughts and behaviors, especially reflexes.

you don't have to be racist to be predisposed to the idea that people of certain appearances are more dangerous than others.

there are stereotypes and "character traits" highlighted in our society that, even though you may not consciously think or notice, still exist in your subconscious because of prior experience

we just gotta be aware of it and take things at face value. everybody is predisposed, but not everyone that exhibits what may look like racist behavior are racist
repped.

So many dudes want to come off as enlightened by automatically refuting the arguments that race plays a role in the approach, and ultimate outcomes, of these situations; and ironically they are the ones in the dark.

These are issues that are embedded in our culture, affecting all of our interactions with other races one way or another.

Believe. They didnt know if it was fake or not. Also i think it dispatch didnt inform the officers that it might be fake and the person might be a kid. It truely is a shame what happen, but come on. In this day and age where even citizens are trigger happy, flashing a gun or even a realistic toy gun, at people and acting like you're gonna shoot or rob them, will get you killed. Most people should know and understand this, including 12 yr olds. And defending him just because he's black adds nothing to the cause of blacks and police brutality. This is just a simple case of plain ignorance.

What do the police death/injury benefits look like?

Seems like most of the are too scared to get hurt in the line of duty.

Finally watched the video... guys were talking about it at work.

The whole situation is very unfortunate. You can't be waving a gun at a park (family environment) and not expect someone to call in dispatch.

I wasnt necessarily directing that part towards you but people in the thread and MB thread in general. You got people bring up this case and that case and blah blah blah. Cases that dont have anything to do with race but mostly negligence and ignorance.

But that was understood the minute ones mind is made up to become a police officer.

Like a Marine getting spooked in the field...it shouldn't happen.

THIS.

If you ain't bout that life, you ain't got no business being there. Your partner for damn sure wouldn't want you there

It's NT man....ALWAYS reaching HARD for that race card....always.

You really think this incident wasn't reach ally motivated? Please tell me you're being sarcastic...

THE 911 DISPATCHER SPECIFICALLY ASKED "IS THE KID BLACK OR WHITE?"!!!!!!!

If the child was white, he'd be alive right now. The police got the memo that a Black kid had a gun, and they pulled up on him and shot him like some type of wild animal in broad daylight

Police requirements are wayyyy to lax....the biggest hurdle is getting chosen because of the number of applicants...

People use that **** just like the military...heart don't be in it except for a check and retirement

If the kid was waving it around at the park then he made his own bed

Now that Walmart **** was ****** up and I'm still mad the caller didn't get charged. They had the cops thinking it was a mass murderer there
