Chernobyl (HBO miniseries) - EP5 finale 'Vichnaya Pamyat' out now

I remember the “horror” movie Chernobyl, it made me read up on it.

you guys never learned about chernobyl in school? I want to say that we covered it in middle school, however, when i was that age the accident wasnt too long before.

Where y’all think all those radioactive references came from :lol:

I learned about Chernoybl from a National Geographic magazine my dad had. I was amazed with the photos of the abandoned city. Then read more about it in school, then saw it in Call of Duty Modern Warfare lol.

Then I went into a deep hole on Wikipedia.

Finally got around to this yesterday. Couldn’t stop watching knocked out all 5 in one day.

Incredible.

Absolutely disgusting decision making from Dyatlov. Only got 10 years. Fomin went right back to work.

Soviets only officially recorded 31 deaths :{

The “Bridge of Death” :{

“Why did the boron rods have the graphite tips? For the same reason we don’t build containment buildings around our plants like the West, or use properly enriched fuel.... It’s cheaper.”

I just swell with anger watching stuff like this man. Scarier than any horror film.

Just finished it...this is a nightmare coming true. My god...this could literally have been the end of the world. What's scary is that Japan had an exposed reactor in 2012 as well...
