And you must be 10. Baggy Jeans and pants was actually a early fashion in the late 30's and 40's during the Harlem Ressiance. And if youwant to go back further I can. Slaves in the early 1800's wore baggy jeans in order to make it harder for them to get pricked by insects or any form ofwood thus causing no distraction while they worked. Take a walk around the east end of London and tell me how many people are wearing baggy jeans. I'm pretty sure you will find most are wearing eitherskinny's or just normal fitted jeans. This is the same around the country in many cities.
Baggy jeans have gone out of fashion in a lot of areas be it Europe, Japan or wherever. I can look in my wardrobe and find jeans from 5 or so years ago andthink to myself 'did i really wear those?!' because they are so baggy. At the same time, i can imagine the jeans that i wear now i would have thoughtwere too tight back then.
Fashion moves very quickly, and influences change. The recent increase in popularity of indie and rock music has had a large influence on a lot of people (lookat how many rappers have either collaborated or released records with a rock feel/vibe to them over the past year or so. Rappers such as Lil'Wayne havechanged their style dramatically from overly baggy clothing to tighter (questionably to tight) styles). The indie and rock crowd have been wearing tight jeanssince the late 60's and over the past handful of years this has spread over into the mainstream and popular culture which has meant more people are wearingtighter styles.
Baggy will come back im sure, but tight/fitted is the in thing at this time. How long it will last is anyone's guess. If it isn't your style thenthat's fine, but there's no need to blast everyone who wears some tight pants. Don't you think the world would be boring if everyone had the samestyle?

I don't know why people are worried about this thread getting locked again and I question whether a mod would really lock this thread because of"Arguing". I actually find all these discussions informative. I am learning a lot and it's interesting to hear all these different theories andperspectives.

ask girls what they prefer to see guys wearing, baggy jeans, or fitted/slim fits (don't even ask about the super tight joints, most people prolly agreethey're wack, they're OD just like super baggy jeans are)...
well i like to discuss fashion with women i date, and girls i'm just friends with (got a couple homegirls that own boutiques and stuff around here, so theyreally know their stuff), and i think you'll find most girls prefer fitted jeans on men (not OD skinny, but certainly not baggy)...
some guys around here might like fitted jeans, but they're scared their hardass homies will clown them, despite the fact that girls would prefer to seethem size down a bit... so in other words, you're more concerned with what other men think of your jeans than women...
