It's bitter sweet because the 1's are finally getting the respect the deserve from Nike but at the cost of being harder to get and looking like a clone. This is like the dunk craze all over again

Nah,it just looks like that on Social Media.When im outside.I dont see OG 1 CW,s at all.Ive seen 16 Bred,s only 2 different times.That was at the mall and a concert.Ive seen Metallic/Blue,Letterman,s only 1 time.Cats out here are hoarding 13/16 Bred,s,Shadows,Black Toes,SBB,Royals,15 Chicago,s.1,s are popular amongst pop culture and people who put them on for pictures only.Cats arent wearing them on a daily basis as beaters.The Dunks had a popularity ceiling.1,s popularity wont decrease in popularity.Because its the first Air Jordan.Ask yourself this.Has any Jordan sig decreased in popularity.For the most part no.So i wouldnt compare 1,s to Dunks at all.1,s look waaaaay better.1,s are also connected to a man named Michael Jordan.If anything.The popularity of 1,s will go up.I know more people who dont have them,than who does.Stop thinking about Niketalk,ig,celebrity pictures,and other cats who collect.Then think about the average person and collector who strikes out on OG 1 CW,s.

Metallic Navy is an OG color and they're in Outlets now. The red ones releasing this year will probably do the same. Only the limited 1s are "in" .

I think theyre ridiculously popular now because sneakers are also ridiculously popular...and its the air jordan thats most accomodating to casual wear.

The thing is that "we" always knew that, which is why we rocked em still even when Nike was putting patent leather on them, giving them furry Nike swooshes, giving them straps and letting them rot on shelves for $55 bucks.
These new boys couldn't handle them at their worst so they don't deserve them at their best

I actually own a pair of the black red ones with the straps and the quality on those is surprisingly excellent
I was at footaction not too long ago wearing them (no strap) and i overheard these cats talking with an employee and one of em was like
"Those are fake lol" and the dude that worked there was like "naaaaw those arent fake " thought that was funny
The patent leather ones would have been super dope and imo HIGHLY sought after if they were the same cut as the ones being put out now. Surprised nike hasnt done that.
