Bulls offseason Thread

They are hoping snell is the new deng n looking at lance down the road. My team is so bi-polar...I can't call it!

Thibs: "It’s easy to look at a box score and say, ‘That’s too much.’ But what you don’t see is the days off in practice. Or no contact."

Thibs: "The great Bulls teams, you’d see Jordan and Pippen well into their 30s were playing huge minutes. So I’m trying to be like Phil."

Thibodeau fired up this AM about minutes: "I think I have a pretty good understanding after 24 years of how to pace a team."

take it how you want but I agree too many ppl make a huge deal about the minutes

It's a problem when you're running guys straight into the ground after just getting off an injury. Like in 2012 when Derrick had back spasms, came back to play a **** load of minutes vs. NYK and ended up missing the next few games. Or when Deng re-aggravated his hamstring injury after playing 40+ minutes his first game back, etc, etc.

totally agree. i think people are not making a big enough deal about the minutes. everyone on the bench is a pro player. you cant have Jimmy playing 60 minutes on a bad toe. now what if he mess his toe up and has to sit his backup has to come in right? so why not spell your star players. you have to protect the player from himself at some point in time.

You cleared to play you play it's pro sports ...I hate the put it on Thibs approach when as pointed out only see one side of things

if it was another injury i would be ready to agree but turf toe, almost every major athlete is or was suffering from turf toe. I think thibs is a tough coach but I dont think he running the players into the ground any more than any other coach rides certain talent and thats just real. Its so much more than just thibs that goes into the playing and injury equation, the training staff, the player him self, and even the players honesty all goes into it

I understand Thibs' POV on it. But he still rides his guys even when it's clearly visible they are still affected by their injuries. Jimmy was limping the other night in that game, yet he goes on to play 60 minutes. Does that really make sense?

he's made that mistake a hundred times. hes just a stubborn dude.

how can the FO watch rose get hurt, trade deng, and then say we are trying to win now. we can't even tank properly!

Losing isn't in his nature. Can't really see us tanking unless we unload someone else. Which is extremely frustrating, but it is what it is.

Let it be known that we must keep Thibs at all costs. I wouldn't trade him other than for LeBron or a top 3 pick.

I never understood the Teague pick. Ever. One of our rare misses in the draft. My god was he awful. :x

Nice article on bleacher report about "Would Deng have left anyway?"

I called it... Still pissed at it, but the more i look at that draft... there wasn't anyone other than Draymond drafted after him that is worthwhile which kinda eased my frustrations.

It is what it is. They need to have the scouts working OT with all the picks they have now. It definitely wasn't the strongest draft, but the trade acknowledges they goofed.

If Bulls fire Thibs because he wins too much, this franchise will be doomed. No player or coach in pursuit of winning will ever want to come here with that message from management.

I hope Jo gets in the ASG. dude is balling and having a hell of a year.

Last nights win was great to watch, Tony is shooting with confidence and Taj looks likes hes ready to continue playing at that high level. Picking up DJ was such a great move :hat

DJ was so bad in Indy couple years ago. He's played well and is a real asset.

Jo should be a lock as ASG reserve. But they did remove C position and just have forwards now

Snell is way better than I expected

Butler really took a step back offensively. He needs to simplify his game and have a couple go to moves/spots. So athletic but can't take anyone off the dribble

ANY CHANCE rose returns for the playoffs?

I dont think he comes back for the playoffs. Sucks but i just dont see it happening.

I have already throw out the idea of us missing playoffs. We just play too hard and have too many good players :lol. Im not mad at it though, i still root like we can win it all :lol

But yea, i dont see many people that should be in over Jo. If we had s better record i would start the DPOY campaign. No foot problems so far this year either :hat (crosses fingers). I was a huge fan of Jo's before but these last two years, hes become one of my fav players by far.
