I feel dirty for wanting that shirt
Im surprised the league allowed that shirt to go down considering what hanging sneakers on the telephone lines represents.

All this rate, Jay might have to bring back State Prop to fill out the roster BUT...

I will say that their gear is fresh. I just talk so much crap about Brooklyn as a borough, that I can't wear any of it.

Will be going to quite a few games next season if the prices are right, seeing as Mr. Dolan doesn't want REAL Knicks fans at MSG with those prices.

Im not from jersey though, up state NY. Really not worrying about that.

I am saying it as a former Nets season ticket holder for 14 years. for some it is sticker shock. And do not throw at me the NY move. this team should of done this when they were winning at Izod with Kidd. they never did. They have SUCKED for the past 5 years and moving to Brooklyn with right now NO TEAM doe not justify the pricing. But people will go. I just rather save my money.

I'll be in there for a few games.
If the Islanders move to Brooklyn.

I know it's cruel, but I was hoping that D-Will would leave and the Nets got Shabazz next year.

Is the new arena built for hockey as well?
No, not really. However, the Islanders could play there permanently in the near future. As for now, they all they have is a preseason game vs the Devils

Is this stadium down the block from me just to give us something to do when we are bored? Or can't afford Knicks tix?

Seriously ... people are not gonna religiously pay tolls to come to Brooklyn.
The new York city area belongs to the Knicks. So most die hard fans who live here won't attend. That's like Yankees fans going to Mets games.

What's really gonna happen here? It's gonna take YEARS to get people to defect over.
ALL of this.

I live 10-15min walking distance from the place

, def going to games knowing they'll be cheaper than the Knicks tix.
Think ya'll are underestimating the amount of bandwagon fans they're going to be able to garner by virtue of location and being new. Yankees have a HUGE fan base yet there's still plenty of room for a big Mets fan base. I can see the Nets being the same. While they won't run the town people will flock to them if they put on a decent show. Nice new arena in a nice area will get some attention. The gentrification crowd might even embrace them. And there's also those noisy !@$ Brooklyn heads who will support anything Brooklyn lol. I guess we'll see though. I just think people should stop shrugging them off like they are going to be completely insignificant.
THIS
I'm going to games simply because $30 tickets sound a lot better than $300 tickets.

Also, the new stadium is one of the first train stops in BK, so it's easy to get there.

The Nets will have a solid fanbase over 5-10 years, stop hating guys.

I heard Bill Simmons on a podcast a few weeks back say that Jay-Z really owns less than 1% of the team.

 that's a nice brooklyn shirt
Spoiler [+]
does anyone know how to take off that nets logo on the bottom corner?

Simmons is an idiot. Jay did own less than 1% and now it somewhere in the 2 to 4% range but he has creative control with Yormark over the teams new look.

The group wanted the logo to be BK in the ball but Jay actually said it should be a B for both style and for the issues of Gangs with team apparel. Jay does have a say when it comes to this stuff. I think BBall related issues is more like the little old lady who is not officially on your housing board but has been on it for so long no one has the heart to tell her she is not on the board anymore so they let her stay and vote when in essence, her vote doesn't count.

Jay has pull with the players and is a nice chip to have but his power is VERY limited in everyday operations with the TEAM

The apparel is mean deadass. I think ima cop that Brooklyn tee with the sneakers hanging and the grey brim.

So, pretty much anybody from/born in Brooklyn; regardless of what team they cheer for - will be rocking these tee's...

...niiice

. Jay is a genius.

Mez definitely got a point with the Brooklyn being more prominent. Just off that itself, half of BK gon be rockin it.

I was about to say that if BK was on the tee's etc, only Loc cats gonna be rockin it. But now that it's only "B" only blood cats gonna be able to rock .

We gonna see when the season starts. I know for damn sure I will be buying the Nets vs. Knicks tix in advance.
If they can some how get D-Will to stay... its gonna be a different ball game.

The grey bk tee is hard though.

The apparel came out pretty nice

Curious to see the Jerseys now. Neither of the home or away will say Nets though, they'll say Brooklyn.

The NETS are gone in my eyes. they are smart to market Brooklyn, but the NETS are done. They just have the name. They are making a brand off of Brooklyn

Season tickets prices are o.d. now, I'm going to wait for half season or multi game packages. I'm so amped having a team in my backyard. Any knicks fan that live in brooklyn must pledge their allegiance before the season starts, can't be a knicks and nets fan at the same time

^ I see what you're saying, but we aint the Bulls or the Heat bruh. It aint that serious between the two imo lol

I understand but to me its the same as being a fan of both the mets and yankees or jets and giants

It's already a bigger fan base than what they had in Jersey. Some diehards will make the commute. But you have 3 million people who live in BK + the fans from LI that can easily get there because of the LIRR. If they win, fans will go because it's much more accessible than where they used to play
Plus lets not underestimate all of the salty NYCers we know that refuse to be Knicks fans
laugh.gif

"I'm from New York and never was a fan of the Knicks"

Besides that like already mentioned I know I'll be going to games just cuz the prices will be cheaper than MSG. That's probably 4 extra Knicks games a year I wouldn't be going if it was at MSG.

The "B" still irks me in the logo. Should be BK
