...Proper treatment and rehabilitation exercises are very important for ankle sprains. If an ankle sprain does not heal right, the joint may become unstable and may develop chronic pain. This can make your ankle weak and more likely to be reinjured.

Most people don't come close to allowing their ankle heal properly.

I'm guilty of it as well.

either way, make sure your calcium and magnesium intake is high....that will also help yah

good luck, speedy recovery

yo you serious? Can anyone justify this?
Well I know others who have broken their tibia in a similar manner as I, they opted not to get the surgery and it took them about a year and a half to get to where I am....I am back playing indoor touch football and will be ready to try-out for some Arena teams come January...read about it...again tho, I am not a Dr. and I don't know about ur specific injury and how it would exactly benefit....but I do kno - screws and plates make the healing time significantly shorter
Generally, the same thing, I'm still getting over my broken fibula from basketball. The first thing they told me was to go for surgery if theoption is there because of the significance in rehab time. Once they ran x-rays I was told it would be 8 weeks and should heal fine without surgery. I'm atmy halfway point right now. Like pookie said though, I take calcium pills twice a day just to ensure that my level stays high for faster bone building. You'll be okay, man... just don't be stupid. Your body is an amazing thing. Do your homework and at least know what bone is broken.

Feel your pain. I ended up dislocating my ankle badly and shattering both my tibia and fibula on my right leg a few years ago right before Christmas skating atthe skatepark. The bones healed up quick but the ligaments are still tight probably from not rehabbing as diligently as I should have.

As soon as the bones heal go to your rehab and do what they tell you to if you want the best chance of recovery. Maybe see what kind of stuff you can do in themeantime to keep the rest of your body healthy also.

youll be fine bruh, stay up

i shattered my radius head(elbow) about 2months ago, had surgery to remove the bone pieces and insert a metal replacement

i am like you, athletic, plays sports all the time. i was really down for about a week.

my elbow was then casted for about 2 weeks, and its now real stiff, and i do not have full range in my elbow.
plus the chance of always having the metal dislocating.

but i am hopeful

I collided with a goalie and felt my shin bone bend but did not break a few years ago. That is why I stopped playing soccer and play mainly basketball now.Soccer is just horrible for your legs. Especially for people like me that like to run and run.

You should not do anything serious with your ankle until you are 100% healthy or you will end up like Grant Hill

You are gonna have to watch over your diet more carefully now if you don't want to get out of shape that much.

Are you serious? and better at what? Freekicks, penaltys, skills etc. Irrelevant really, Ronaldo is one of the best in the world at the moment, with KaKa quite far behind.

Sorry to hear about your ankle. Luckily I never broke or fractured anything. I think. Just sprains. It's been 3 years since I stopped playing soccer and myankles hurt randomly at times. Not too painful, just enough to feel it. And they pop every time I wake up or dont move them for more than 5 minutes

co-sign what one dude said about your ankle never getting back to 100%. I tore two ligaments in 04 and sustained a fracture in 07. I can run but it justdoesn't feel 'right'. I try and stick to running on pavement exclusively nowadays. I need to see where I'm stepping. Sorry to hear aboutyours. Soccer will do that to you; soccer cleats offer no ankle support whatsoever. If I'm balling, I have to wear the lace-up brace or I'm down forthe count.
