Real talk.
Depending on how this ends.
Could this go down as the greatest series ever?
Over the Wire and Sopranos ?
Yup

Yea BB, Wire and Sopranos are top three I think...and one could replace the other at the top spot on any given day depending on how I'm feelin then....I think Boardwalk is almost gettin up there too...show is just filthy...anyway 19 hrs!!!
The Wire might forever be in a separate category because it's about EVERYTHING. It's about drugs and crime, education, the media, politics, no show can compare to the subject matter.
Breaking Bad compares better with The Sopranos. Breaking Bad will likely end with less "ok" episodes than The Sopranos. For me, Breaking Bad hasn't really hit any weak stretches, whereas The Sopranos definitely hit some iffy patches here and there.
Boardwalk won't ever reach the elite status unless it drastically improves. I love Boardwalk but it's not touching the greatest of all-time.

Smart thing to bring up. Seems only time wire taps were used was when it was Mike doing it for Gus Cops did more staking out and tailing guys than anything else.I've always wondered this, especially since The Wire is being mentioned in here, why wasn't there a wiretap on Jesse's phone or anyone else's, for that matter, at some point? Walt, Jesse and most of the people they're involved with are reckless on the phone. You'd think a wire would be a given, right? It's not like they were cautious, like Stringer was. I feel like they would've been caught up, easily. Ionno.
Thought this was interesting
Well all of them are constantly crushing phones, so it wouldn't help much I guessI've always wondered this, especially since The Wire is being mentioned in here, why wasn't there a wiretap on Jesse's phone or anyone else's, for that matter, at some point?
