I can't stand this $+!...seriously...gas being over 3 dollars a gallon is ABSURD ALREADY, now they talking 5 dollars....c'mon...

Demand is rising, true. But demand isn't going to make our supply run out for a long time. There is a lot of oil out there, but at one point we need to stop relying on it and it will run dry at some point.Originally Posted by ninjahood

As far as stopping off shore drilling, you have to look at it like this. We never really knew the problems associated with off shore drilling, then BP happened. Now we know. I understand why you're upset about stopping it after one disaster, but that was a huge disaster and it could have been a lot worse. You can't continue off shore drilling when natual disasters happen and we have no idea HOW or WHY it happened and even worse HOW to STOP it, contain it or clean it.
